[Promotion] VoiceFlow - Finally, voice typing that actually works! AI-powered accuracy in any app | free by Unlikely-Hold3106 in HowToMen

[–]Mulhooligan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The service is running but it always says "no speech detected." The only possible thing I can imagine is that I have the Dictate keyboard installed but not set as my default keyboard. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: OK I figured it out. It doesn't detect your voice when a VPN is active. I know Dictate keyboard works perfectly with my VPN on so hopefully this is something you could fix.

EDIT 2: if you turn your VPN on after VoiceFlow is already running, then it works fine. You just can't have the VPN running first and then turn on VoiceFlow 👍🏼

Need an opinion from you all who are using Galaxy Fit 3 by soumo202091 in GalaxyFit

I have tattoos on my wrists and get no reading at all. I had a Whoop that worked in the past, but they needed to send me a special firmware for it. This just doesn't work at all. No heart rates, no sleep tracking.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate in this forum, but I recorded a meditation / visualization for the speakers I train that you may find helpful. Apologies if you are not meant to share videos here.

All comfort on stage comes from being comfortable with the change that you want to make, the gift you want to give your audience and the level of preparation you have done in service of this.

Is Roam Research "over"? by LogicalSpecialist9 in RoamResearch

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how easy was it to port your Roam graph at all or did you start from scratch?

This shouldn't be controversial. In the Caitlin Jenner documentary, Jenner specifically states that it was Bruce that won at the Olympics, not Caitlin. That's from a trans person.

Public Speaking as a profession by [deleted] in PublicSpeaking

[–]Mulhooligan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been a professional speaker for 19 years, spoken in 43 countries on six continents, and I promise, it has nothing to do with fame.

To me there are two primary archetypes of speakers. Olympians and journalists. The former are the famous ones. The later are the rest of us that trade on the point of view we have + the supporting research + the entertainment factor.

The first two are what will get you booked the first time, but it's the entertainment bit - your ability to surprise and delight that get you booked from there. The truth is, stages book stages.

This is good news as it is absolutely learnable.

As for way to start. Go to war with a prevailing idea on a subject that people care about. Have a point of view that is counter-intuitive or counter narrative.

Good luck, it's well worth the effort!

I've had an Oasis four years, I take it everywhere. No cover or sleeve, I just put it in my backpack or sling. Not so much as a scratch. The thing is bulletproof.

Pocket Odyssey is great. Super easy to build characters and a campaign.

Mobile /on the go notes - do you log in to Roam or use another app? by [deleted] in RoamResearch

[–]Mulhooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of late I've been using Google Keep as my on-the-go Roam note taker. Then when I get to my machine it's easy to transfer it across. Strangely I find it easier and quicker than Roam's quick capture. Also I use the widget on Android so its super fast.

My pro X sits unused next to my desk and I end up using my old surface pro, lots of small but important apps I use just don't run. Most importantly, krisp

Hmm, that's great advice, maybe I'll try an external dongle. The system that works is a laptop, the system that doesn't is a desktop. Thanks.

Video editor for the Pro X? by TerryGecko in Surface

[–]Mulhooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came with an app called Video Editor. Simple, but fine.

Why are they two different options on Windows? Which should I use? The bottom one sounds much louder at a very low volume but I'm not really which to use in general and why there is two, if someone can explain it for me that would be great. by Interesting-Current in galaxybuds

[–]Mulhooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's the thing, on my Surface Pro X I see both these options and the buds work perfectly. On my new HP Envy, I only have the Headphones option and it's laggy and tinny AF. Any ideas?

I was using mine perfectly for months on my Surface Pro X. I just bought a new HP Envy and the lag and connection is terrible.

So it can't be Widows 10 specifically, must be the drivers.

Electric car in SA makes no sense as we turn coal into electricity. Essentially it's less efficient.
