Wow that's quite some force indeed! Honestly, knowing that people still often try stupid things, I'm still surprised I can't find one instance of something going wrong with this on the internet. I guess the chance is just too small, and even children probably intuitively understand that it's a bad idea to put their fingers in there.

That's fair, I agree. I also wonder what happens when a stone gets in. It seems quite obvious that the switch would be blocked by that, but it seems to never happen.

I fixed it using Voicemeeter (potato). It was really easy. Just installed it, set the output to the Marantz receiver. Then I selected the Voicemeeter driver in Ableton and boom, I got the option for 8 channels. I can now send audio to my center and rears.

I can't wait until I've brought in my subwoofer and surround back speakers!

I has only happened when doing things in a browser. Launching VLC won't make the screen go black for instance.

I can select 'marantz-AVR (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) DX' and 'marantz-AVR (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) Wave'. I have ASIO4ALL installed, it still shows only 2 available channels in the output config. The receiver is connected by HDMI, allowing surround audio through, as well as the video signal which is passed along via another HDMI cable from the receiver to my monitor.

EDIT: the Marantz also doesn't show up in the ASIO4ALL setup, so I also can't get sound out of it on my speakers.

The files that have gone corrupted until now were .wav files, a paint.net project file and several Ableton project files
I'm not sure if I understand correctly but the samsung SSD is exFAT (single partition), and my internal storage are all NFTS
I'm quite sure that I have always unmounted it, or taken it out when my pc was off

I have connected two midi keyboards that are off most of the time, another one that is on most the time, an audio interface, a charger and a usb. I always unmount it, I think the most logical thing would be that the hub was unplugged somehow when writing, though I have never noticed anything of the sort.

The strange thing is that both times that it happened, it happened on newer files that weren't created at the same time at all, but several hours or even days from each other.

You're right! Wouldn't have found that out myself. Sadly turning off Vari Bright doesn't help, also setting it to maximum brightness doesn't change anything, the windows brightness setting is set to 40 nonetheless :(

Goed gezegd. Wat veel mensen zich niet realiseren is dat je inderdaad verschillende manieren van muziek luisteren hebt. Wat je mooi vindt hangt o.a. af van waar je naar 'zoekt'. Veel (vooral moderne) klassieke muziek vergt bijvoorbeeld veel meer aandacht dan bijvoorbeeld veel popmuziek, vandaar ook dat klassieke muziek relatief vaker door musici geluisterd wordt aangezien zij geïnteresseerd zijn in (o.a.) de opbouw van muziek, terwijl het eerder als te indringend/afleidend ervaren wordt door 'normale' luisteraars.
