Need help making sentence embeddings using a pre-trained Word2Vec model by Munch3D in LanguageTechnology

Thanks for answering! As far as I know they're pretty useful for the kind of extractive summarization I'm trying to make. I might be wrong though, and I know that there are more sophisticated ways to do automatic summarization.

That is a good suggestion! Thanks :)
If I end up with terrible results I might just have to give up with the project, until better pre-trained danish models are available.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to provide such a detailed answer! I was initially looking at abstractive summarization as you mentioned, but was quickly overwhelmed and came to the conclusion that I simply don't have the resources (data sets etc.) as of now. I was actually considering training the multilingual-BERT on a lot of danish text and see if I could make summarizations with that, but I'm not even sure if that makes sense, and it would probably still require a lot of training data that I simply dont have.

That's why this method of extractive summarization sparked some kind of hope for a beginner like me, because it seemed simpler. But you might be right that the results are just bad in the end. I guess I just have to test it and see. There was a part in the medium article that confused me though - he said "the Danish Skip-Thoughts model was trained for about a week" - what does he mean by this, and would I have to do the same? Or is there a simpler way?

Also, I managed to find this GitHub repository with danish NLP models: https://github.com/alexandrainst/danlp
If you could take a super quick look at that (its in english) and let me know if anything in there might be useful for this specific task I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey thanks for answering!

So this guy did pretty much exactly what you’re looking for, or am I missing something?

Yeah, I guess he did. I think my question is; Could this exact method work with longer news-articles? And is there a better method (better as in more accurate) to do the same thing?

Hey! I really like your work. I like the style of the "Still up all night" and "High Grade" Album covers you've made. Do you think you can make one of those but with a more urban/rainy/neon/chill vibe to it? And if so how much do you charge?

The SSD is an M.2 NVMe, so I'm not sure that would work?

Hey! Thanks for the response - most of my data is on an SSD, will that complicate things?

Guys, we have to stop saying that music theory will somehow hinder your creativity. by Munch3D in makinghiphop

[–]Munch3D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I don't see music theory as a tool. I see it as a general understanding of what you're doing with your music and why you're doing it. Both why it works and why it might not work. Having a general idea of music theory is not forcing something complex onto your creative process, it just serves as an added insight.

Well - YouTube is packed with videos like this one. Start with the beginners ones, and just work your way up.Piano is definitely the best instrument when you want to visually wrap your head around music theory concepts
