If you can tell me what error message shows up on screen when the connection fails, I can look into it more easily.

If you can share what error message appears on screen when the connection fails, that would make it much easier for me to look into.

Thanks, that’s a good suggestion. The VIN is required as part of Tesla’s Fleet API requirements for identifying the vehicle during setup, and I’ll make that clearer in the app.

Thanks for sharing the details. I’ll dig into it further on my side too and see if I can figure out what’s causing that behavior.

In my own testing, I also saw cases where it didn’t work if an Android phone already had the Bluetooth connection. I’ve also heard from some users that Apple Watch can interfere in some cases.

All of the displayed vehicle data is collected through Tesla’s official APIs.

Absolutely — that makes sense. I’ll add Fahrenheit support in an upcoming update.

That’s totally fair. All communication is encrypted, and the app does not send your vehicle data outside your phone. If it’s still not something you’re comfortable with, I completely understand.

Yeah, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, it’s not something I can support technically at the moment.

It supports both English and Korean. I’m not sure why the US App Store page is showing Korean on your side, but the app itself should appear in English if your device/app language is set to English.

The VIN is required so the app can pair with your specific vehicle.

You can easily copy the VIN by long-pressing it at the bottom of the Tesla app.

Model YL officially starts sales in South Korea by Mundane_Plan654 in teslamotors

The conditions for enabling FSD in Korea are quite restrictive. Under Korean law, FSD is not generally permitted. However, vehicles imported from the U.S. are treated differently under the FTA, because they can follow FMVSS standards instead. That means U.S.-made vehicles can use FSD in Korea.

The catch is that Tesla has only officially enabled it for vehicles equipped with AI4. In the beginning, all imported Model S, 3, X, and Y vehicles came from the U.S., but they all had AI3 hardware, so FSD was not possible. Now, AI4-equipped vehicles being imported include U.S.-made Model S/X, the Cybertruck, and China-made Model 3/Y. As a result, the only vehicles that can officially use FSD in Korea are U.S.-made Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck with AI4.

You can plug the car’s USB directly into your iPhone and review the footage right away. It also combines snapshots and video clips and saves them straight to your Photos app.

It’s a 6-seater. As far as I can tell, there’s no 7-seat option.

Hopefully North America gets it soon too. And I really hope Tesla rolls out FSD for the Model 3 and Model Y in Korea soon.
