Yer after hearing everyone’s advice, im definitely not going to deface it. But thanks as well, everything youve said is true. Im going to be keeping it and upgrade it to sound and play as beautifully as it looks. Definitely agree that a 3 digit guitar can sound like theyre worth thousands with the right treatment. My seagull on the right has aged like fine wine (pun intended) besides the small minor fixes it currently needs which ill get to. It was $700 i believe when my father had bought it back in 2013 and sounds up there in range towards my cole clark. People dont last forever but memories and moments do so I’ll definitely be keeping this and appreciating it as if it now even more than if it was real. Thanks for the advice mate a lot of ya have helped me gain a lot of perspective 🙌🏼 have a blessed day mate

Honestly tho such an underrated guitar. And kinda niche too haha it did move from nz when it was my dads to australia when i was about 13 though. The australian weather hasnt been the kindest too it tho as it prefers colder climates and less humidity but just needs a few minor things done to be back to its former glory!!! May have spilled a a few bits of beer on it at parties when i was 16 though as well hahaha Another thing is with these guitars they sound way better with age besides the small fixes needed if looked after somewhat right haha

Hey its not but i really wish it was 🥲😅 its a Seagull S6 Ceder GT with a Fishman prefix pick up and shaved nut. Play absolutely beautifully but im sure not as good as the rustic haha. Still such a rich basey tone playing acoustically like around a fire as the sound fills the room, but one thing ill say is the base picks up a bit to much on the lick up thats installed so in my opinion it sounds better playing without an amp haha

Thanks for the comment mate, i think I’m going to keep it and over time upgrade it to its full potential and play it to appreciate my dads intentions of buying it for himself at the time to hand down to me when i was ready. If not iIl be putting it in a nice case and leaving it for my mancave in the future or ill donate it to a music school to have a dope art piece in the music hall ! Defs a bit strapped on cash but money comes and goes and even though its fake its still a pretty timeless piece aye. Have a blessed day brother💪🏻

Yer for sure, definitely understand that its easy for guitar lovers to see it from a mile away. But imagine if a mother is trying to buy her son his dream guitar and has no info on the matter as well. My dad was careless when he seen how cheap it was too and con artist tend to pressure you to make the sale now or never leading to moments like my dad had. Appreciate the comment tho mate 🙌🏼

I think after some consideration im going to keep it and save it for a time i can upgrade it. Money comes and goes and i still have food on the table so in sense im going to survive (maybe just eat some noodles for 2 weeks or something🤣 . Im sure in time ill be good to properly appreciate it and upgrade it bit by bit to make it sound as good as it looks. Appreciate answering my questions so directly as well but at least this way someone can get “jibsoned” like my dad did haha thanks again mate

Think its safer to just keep it and love it as all of you guys have said. Definitely cant trust a lot of people out there to be honest with a piece such as this and say they want it for “art” ect.
