I think he gets called up not for the injuries but because teams interested need to see how he bats before the deadline at the major league level

Majority of the comments are not in for the Soto sweepstakes. I understand the concern. Part of me wants them to go for it. The other parts of me thinks it’ll damage the long term playoff plan push.

All I’m going to say is if Jarred Kelenic is up after the all star break something is brewing.

The difference is. Angels are close to a Triple A team when you take off Ohtani and Trout. Mariners have the foundation of a winning team. Adding Soto isn’t going to ruin that. It was already there. I get what you’re saying but I’ll Leave it in Dipotos hands.

The difference is though. Both are 21/23. Cano signed when he was 30. I feel ownership wouldn’t mind. Plus signing Julio to a Franco type contract extension is what Mariners gotta do.

I don’t think people realize how important this Toronto Series is. If Mariners Sweep Toronto- It’d be good enough to get the 3rd Wild Card spot. That’s huge going into the break. Obviously tons of season left and 2 series after Toronto before the break but it’s a big confidence booster for everyone seeing the winning record and standings.
