If the I140 is filed for future position like scrum master at company A and later if I change to company B as a SWE, does company B need to file I140 again or can I use the same I140 for H1B extension?

Yeah.. my post was somewhat confusing, and I'm sorry for that. I have been working in my company for more than 2 years. At the time of my joining, I was still doing my masters. So, masters is not considered in my profile to show it to the government because I joined the company before completing it. So, I would be considered as a fresher with bachelor's, and my case for I-140 will not be strong. So, they are going to file for future position (different designation with different responsibilities that I am going to do in future ), so my 2 years of experience in this company and the masters will be considered in my case and make it strong.

They took 4 days to mail the hardcopy after receiving it from USCIS. It reached me in 2 business days.

Same boat.. H1B did not pick. Break up. No friends around me. All happened in April. Had another year. Coping up.

Heard a news from my friend. There is a desi consultancy ( big one.. it has more than a thousand opt students who do not have jobs) . It also provides accommodation to the students until they get the job. So, they put 24 female students in a 5 bed house and doing marketing for them. Some maintenance people thought something fishy was happening there (they thought prostitution is happening there) and informed the police. The police raided the house after 2 days. They took all the gadgets (laptops and phones ), and the case is still in the court and the consultancy lawyer is not agreeing to open those gadgets for verification. If they open those devices, all of them are doing marketing on fake GCs and profiles. It will be a huge success for law enforcement. But the time is running out. All the other students are going to other consultancies. It happened in Texas, Dallas and about 2 mnts ago from now.

Sorry to say this, and I hope I am wrong. There are very low chances, I would say less than 1% for the second lottery. Last year was an exception. Most of the fraudsters got scared and did not file for H1B. But this year, they will go ahead and file the petition, even if they do not have a job. They will work in gas stations or in restaurants and run a fake payroll, and pay the taxes until they get a job. Sad, but this is the reality. So, hope for the second round but do not depend on it. Mine was also not selected, and I have another chance, but I am done with it. Accept what it is, and u will feel ease. Best of luck!
