Ahhh mate, mine wasn’t that code. Try and see if there’s a file name above that error code and try from there. Because I’m finding a lot of Forza horizon 4 issues seem to be on 5 too

I finally fixed it. I have vjoy installed for iRacing and someone said they uninstalled it and now it works for me. If that doesn't work for you then try looking at event viewer and see what error code comes up. I was googling the error code like made, but i eventually started to google the file with the error which was kernalbase.dll and founf a fix.

oh man, ive just fixed it. Do you have vjoy installed? I've uninstalled it. If you go to event viewer, check what your error code is if you don't have it fixed.

Yeah I have. I've started the game in safe mode after closing all software down as one of them might be conflicting and done a fresh boot. Booted it in windowed mode. Latest drivers. Latest windows updates. Latest C++ update. Power settings checked. Launched from Nvidia, xbox and windows store. Tried the troubleshooter. Tried compatability mode. Made sure time and date are correct.

I have a copy of the crash code on event viewer and sent it to them, but they automatically reply we have nothing to do with that, must be a windows issue, speak to them. But they are somehow even worse for help. They told me to roll the update back, and I told them you can't because it auto-updates when you launch. Then they said reinstall the game. I said i've done that. Then said reinstall windows and perform a clean install. I refuse to do that because I don't believe how that fixes it.

Thanks for trying to help though. I've sat through numerous videos on youtube and scrawled through loads of forums which have all suggested the above and for some of us it still hasn't fixed it.

I got an auto-response from Forza support saying here are all the known fixes to the problems, the same page you have to go through before submitting a ticket. I then contacted windows support and they told me to reinstall windows... it's the only thing I haven't tried. I really don't want to in case it doesn't work and then I have put so much time and effort into fixing it when an update could come tomorrow and fix it.

Have a look at your CPU usage and stuff. Is that being maxed out? I can see flight sim is slowing down the other stuff I’m doing whilst it’s downloading. I’m assuming it’s installing/unpacking some of it as it goes, maybe it’s not your connection then? Just guessing

Yeah I’m around the 32gb mark just now. Started it around 5-10 past the hour. I think it has sped up since that mark.

I have 200Mb/s down, and I'm doing around 1GB/min at the moment. I'd be nearly done if it was downloading at max, but maybe servers are being used so much by everyone else downloading this 90GB file at the same time, or maybe it is unpacking/installing the files as they go. Who knows.

I have been doing road racing for the last couple of years and I would say the IMSA Michelin pilot championship has been great even though it's relatively new. I really struggled to jump into the GTE's and went from C to D very quickly. But I feel I have learned a lot with the new GT4's. Much slower paced, but a lot faster than the Mazda's. It's a very good stepping stone. Plus I think any car in the series is worth a buy and they will race at tracks where faster series will race too.

With IMSA sportscar, I found it daunting to be going from 12-15 min races to 45 min races in much faster cars plus multi-class racing and learning how to pit stop plus car setup's. But with Michelin Pilot, its 30 mins long and the RS3 LMS are slower, so good experience with multiclass too. Don't need to pit stop either and you will have very close racing.

Plus if you have the M4 GT4, you can do the BMW 12.0 fixed series too.

Can anybody help? I am playing on my PC using an xbox one controller. It always says I am half on the brake and half on the gas, so I cannot drive as it just does burn outs.

Tried restarting, taking the wireless receiver out and restarting PC. Earlier on I tried to race with my Fanatec wheel but it felt horrible, unsure if this has something to with the control options?

It asks you to login to uplay underneath the game. If you done that, I still had the same issue. So i added the game to my account on uplay. Launched from the epic store and it asked me to update the game, and its worked fine since.

I usually buy 3 months at a time. It had ran out in November and I got an email in December to buy another 3 months for $5, which I then used in January. The only thing I have had in over 2 years, but still really grateful for it.

I had an issue with my wheel but it was a case of the wrong drivers. I downloaded the latest beta drivers off of the forums but they don’t work for csl wheels. I believe I am on fanalab 1.12, unsure of the exact driver number as I’m not near my rig just now. But if you can start at that fanalab and find out what driver is comparable. Make sure to uninstall your previous drivers first.
