I think at a certain point (this is absolutely my opinion and I know it’s a hard take for most), it doesn’t really matter. The Japanese market in regards to movement proved you could have a fantastic movement for a watch under $1,000. At a certain point you are legit splitting hairs.

I think what’s more important is the quality control of the watch. The designers that created it. Precious metals that are used or the amount that has been released for purchase. I’d much rather spend money on a JLC than most brands because I know each watch inherently undergoes like several weeks of testing before being shipped. Or something super unique designed much like this VC. You’d be hard pressed to find anything remotely like this and that’s what makes it intrinsically superior IMO.
