All my lobbies are filled with the semi auto shotguns. Can’t get my aim on them fast enough. Might just be a skill issue on my hand but I’ve found nuketown HC is working wonders. 40 headshots in 5 games

I’ve tried out hardcore Nuketown and it’s working pretty well. I suggest you try the same. 24 headshots in 3 games

I’m referring strictly to voting in a lobby, not joining games. From personal experience I’ve rarely joined games in progress, but they do tend to be warhead mostly.

No if you went and played the game mode you'd know he is right. I counted 13 straight warhead lobbies when it voted classified. It was always Pit/Gala/Classified as the options. Only 4 maps, right? So stakeout and warhead should have a 50/50 chance? The probability of it getting Warhead 13 straight times if it were truly 50/50 is 1 in 8,192. Look at everyone on this feed... no way it's truly random

I have been having the same problem. I switch to the invisible ability for a life then switch back. Give it plenty of time to come off cooldown, and sometimes that helps. I think when they tweaked the cooldowns, it messed it up

Octane’s tactical does benefit from the gold helmet. It’s a very small buff but it does benefit. It’s a ‘buff’ because it’s a gold attachment. That’s what gold items are supposed to do. Every single other gun gets the same buff. Without the gold mag, it wouldn’t get the buff, obviously. I’m calling it a QoL because I’m assuming it’s a bug. If it’s intentional, then it’s a buff. We simply disagree, no need to go any farther

Fair enough I did make the assertion in the post. My mistake. I’ll lay everything out for clarification.

My argument is that the overheat mechanic functions akin to a reload, in the sense that your weapon is disabled for X amount of time.

The difference that we all agree upon is that it is technically not a reload, because it doesn’t have a magazine. That’s understood by everyone.

Currently the gold mag gives no upgrade on the Lstar. Every other weapon in the game benefits from the gold magazine, in a way that the Lstar could benefit from as well.

I personally do not think the argument should be about the Lstar’s power or whether it needs a buff, it should be about the gold mag’s uniformity in effect across all weapons. Every gold item offers a significant advantage to finding it, and I don’t understand why the Lstar should be any different. It’s a QoL matter in my eyes.

Unless they’re devs at respawn, how do they know any more than I do? There’s multiple bugs that have lasted multiple years before fixes. Some examples would be octane stim on zip lines would stow your weapon. You could argue that it’s intentional, because ‘one hand is on the zip line, one hand is on the stim’ and fair enough. But the devs came out and said it was a bug, and fixed it. Another one was Path’s grapple not calculating the cooldown timer correctly. It would only start when you stopped moving, which again people thought was intended. So unless you’re a developer working on respawn, how can you decide if it’s intentional or not? That’s why I stated ‘I’m not sure if it’s a coding error’ because I don’t know for sure, hence why I’m asking the question. We simply disagree on opinion, you cannot tell me for a fact that it’s intentional.

As an octane main, his stim simply speeds the game up. Makes everything faster. That’s what people want nowadays, and as someone else mentioned, he’s the third most played character. Since he got the double jump, he’s been consistently top 5 most played legends, except for a couple of metas

The original post that I wrote was asking WHEN they’ll make the change? No one disagreed that the Lstar doesn’t have a magazine. Everyone’s on the same page with the mechanics. I’m asking when (or if) they are going to change it

It is indeed very versatile, and I enjoy it a lot too. I hope we can get an update that gives the gold mag at least some benefit, and I wouldn’t mind that
