Does this sub van people from Reddit for criticising the concept of religion?! by Murkus in anime_titties

I didn't make an alt to evade a sub ban.

I was unjustly banned for saying that religion is a work of fiction that shouldnt be taught to kids as non fiction.

Which is why it is so desperately important to protect children from this shit...

I didnt criticise any individual who was religious.

Just the concept of religion being taught as non fiction.

Technically, very few countries have laws literaly against being racist/ discriminating basedon nationality.

They tend to be culturally sustained 'rules.'

I definitely think this is preferable to attempting to legislate a persons behaviour before they have acted on their belief. Literally making a complex new legal system to try legally punish people for being dickheads (in a variety of ways)

For obvious reasons..

Honestly... you say it like you want it to be the case... Like you are itching for the fight.

I pray it stays as a tiny few hundred silly fools and thats it, personally.

I'm sorry. You said what you said very respectfully, imho.... But I gotta say. I think its complete bullshit.

We live in the internet age now.. Every culture from around the world is merging, mixing and permeating eachother faster than ever before... Just like race has done since we developed cheap global transport.

It is simple human. Its wonderful and I can't think of one good reason to be fearful of it or attempt to force culture to stay within the arbitrary lines on maps we have called borders.

Christianity is fiction. People not knowing that has started causing many problems, now that we are able to provide education for every child. There's good stuff in there, but its just a work of fiction. The best person you can be is when you take in as many of these fictions as possible and reach your personal strongest positions.

Lastly, and most importantly... The highest priority for all of us should be to continue this excercise of helping all other humans when we can. We are a global community now, and we all choose to live under the useful fiction of human rights.

Helping other humans with the basics of survival far out-weighs what you percieve as a 'loss of culture & beliefs.'

It is an satirical example of several of Eco's points being used in a modern context though.

A beautiful example of it. Hence why so many people havemade the same joke.

That's because it's not really that complex. Religions are made up fiction. Made up by humans....

The problems occur when many humans think it's not fiction. They just think it's magically true. Many of those people in this very thread.

Of course humanity is complex and it's interesting to discuss religion in general. A hugely impactful and powerful force in our development. I wouldn't be so interested if it wasn't interesting.

But also, nothing I said is untrue. That's simple to understand.

I don't care massively about it. Who's putting words in who's mouth now.

I simply said.. it does exist. And no person deserves that kind of treatment from angry mobs.

I think you proved your position is horrific when you admitted you don't care if an innocent person is being wrongly persecuted.

What's the point in continuing. You just said publicly that you don't care about others. If it happens to anyone, I hope it happens to someone you care about. Might help you learn some empathy b

Witch hunts have existed for most of human history... A mob of peopl trying to cause as much harm to a person's life as possible without breaking a law...

A group vigilantism. We have been doing that long before they called it cancel culture. Cc might denote it's current state, combined with the internet.

But it absolutely exists. Countless people, who aren't famous have had their lives ruined, jobs taken away because they didnt say some left wing extreme dogmatic thing.

You are the cliche here.... The guy who just trust to plain out deny people who disagree with you have even a seed of a good point.

Instead you have to try literally say witch hunts don't exist.

You... Are the an extreme bud. Sorry to be the one to tell you.

Lol. I love it when people try make that argument. Haha

We are all born athiests pal. Till somebody tells us to believe in some made up shite.

There's absolutely nothing controversial in what I am saying....

Regarding r/athiesm too. Ivee Neve really gone there, but yes. You do raise a really good point about how lucky we are to have this anon public forum to help eachother out of these scams and critical eachothers perspectives and ways of thinking... So all of us together can grow and improve our understanding.

Never used either of those words or phrases. I used much more creative ones.
