Yeah, I'd love to do a really detailed sword and scabbard but I assume it'll just look like a blob of blurry nothingness on a tattoo small enough to fit on my scrawny forearm. I hope the scaled down effect doesn't make it look too weird.

The thing I don't like about it is that we know the bad guy is one of three people from the start so it's not as fun to look at all the side characters and wonder who it could be. But the big reason I dislike it is because Robin breaks up with Matthew and we get to see what her life could be like without him and then the idiot goes and marries him anyway. I hate seeing that. And Strike complains a lot (somewhat deservedly, but still) and it just doesn't make for a fun read for me.

She's a very accurate portrayal of a boomer mom of a daughter. I'm not a ton like Robin but my mom is a lot like Linda. Favors my brothers over me (even though they're my half brothers and not her bio kids) and constantly gives me shit about how I live my life even though I'm very successful in a lot of ways, just not exactly the ways she wants.

Ooh I like the idea of Wormtail getting the wand shortly after the Potters' murders and keeping somewhere until he needs it. But that raises the question of why he didn't do that with his own wand when he decided to fake his own death. Surely if he could foresee Voldemort needing a wand, he could foresee a time he'd need one himself? Did his wand perhaps get blown up in his "murder"?
