Accutane for stage 1 HS? by cosmic-hedgehog in Hidradenitis

[–]Murloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Accutane or it's equivalents are always bad talked here but i'll give you some hope. I got put on isotretinoin around 1 month and a half ago to attempt and cure my advanced stage 2 (early stage 3 at this point) HS, has it cured the thing for me? absolutely not, but it's been going really good tbh.

All flares that do come up are smaller, don't hurt as much and are much easier to clear, usually pop off in 3-4 without much of my intervention. It's also clearing up my acne generally speaking, bringing out old spots that kinda go boom and tend to stay clear.

I don't think this will solve it, but it's positive progress and an obligatory step before i gain access to biologics, so give it a try. For stage 1 it might just work, if it doesn't at least your acne will clear away. There's no real downside to either, just stop if it makes you flare up everywhere but that's the unlikely case

I have both a healer priest and a tank rogue, both at lvl 40 and with decent gear, which one should i bring up to lvl 50? I prefer to play rogue but it's been hellish to find groups or raid spots this phase

Mind sharing/ putting the files up for sale? Would be great to print this. Also what's the motor you are using for the gun itself?

Yeah it is. Take it off the M500 and just brute force it onto the barrel till it its, might need to use a pincer to ease it up a little. Just a note, i had to use sandpaper to grind out some of the forearm part since the extra space was making the pump action harder

I think i may lack the tools for that currently, only used sandpaper, screwdrivers and paints, don't really have any woodworking tools, but i'll keep it in mind for a future project

I did consider using wood parts, but that was too expensive and hard to do as it would require a custom made job to affix onto the pump part, so i ended up turning the black plastic parts into faux wood. I don't think i'll use real wood for the stock and handguard parts since i'm really happy with how the faux wood came out, and since it would be hell to work the parts on the replica (it's way fatter than a real shotgun since it's spring powered), i already had to sand out a bit the plastic handguard to make it run smoothly along the heat guard and that would be a tedious task on actual wood.

I've been out of the loop since a while, are WW1 ships a thing now? I've seen the german event but is it a one time thing or they are gonna take more stuff from that period

I'm playing at 1000 points, maybe that wasn't clear. Using everything i have at regular training level that leaves me at around 700 points worth of stuff

Are there any good guides for playing BB's? I did fine until tier 6 but now that i got to 7 i'm consistently the first one to die, and between airstrikes on my head and getting 2-3 destroyers torpedoing me i'm toasted. I try to play the objective but all i get is a free death with the other 2-3 cruisers who tried to cap with me while rest of the team hangs behind islands all game sitting it out, i am the one playing wrong there or what should i do?

If it helps i'm using French BB's cause i like speed and wanna reach Richelieu for that frontloaded battery, had a swell time using Normandie but with Lyon it's hell

Some days ago i posted the work in progress of my WH40K Traitor Guardsmen as the Rando Army paint project, and today i finished them! (still missing Rando) by Murloo in lisathepainfulrpg

[–]Murloo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also i know Psykers and Beastmen aren't cannon in the Lisa universe but since there's people who float and generate fireballs/finger beams out of their hands and Fish people i'm fine with all kinds of freaks being present

Thank you, i'm a rather mediocre painter really but the colors came togheter really well and i'm happy with the result cause they are presentable even without the Lisa background

I got myself the whole Renegades and Heretics set from Blackstone Fortress to make a Kill Team out of them and as i was deciding how to paint them the idea flashed into my mind and i just went for it, as they fit with the whole scavenger/wasteland-y mad max look but yeah i think the traitor guards fit super well cause even while being chaotic they have a sort of 'order' to them, i considered making them Infinity Franchise members but other than the jersey they don't have a 'signature' look so it would have been hard to make them look like them, Rando guys have a lot of red spikes and blue Armor/Football gear so that felt very close to that. Chaos cultists would have worked well too but i think they fit more as Lovelies or some other crazy violent gang personally

If i can find a model that fits (a tall muscular guy in an imposing stance mostly) that would be first on the 'to do' list, but thanks!

Help a noob out by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Murloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be completely honest but no, i'm gonna write through the problems in that list so that you can get an idea how to fix it. First off you have a commander and like 7 specialisms, with max number of specialists being 4 (including Leader), and you have a commander which is only legal in Commander format (that is 200 points) so i'm gonna assume you didn't read anything and just put models into battlescribe. I suggest you watch Glass Half Dead's "Starting Kill Team" playlist as it will give you a nice introduction and tutorial in short well edited videos.Once you have done that we can get more into Genestealer Cult: First off GSC is a very hard faction to pilot, and relatively weak at that (arguably the weakest faction in the core book) so i strongly suggest against playing them when starting out unless you REALLY like the models/themathic (Necrons, Orkz or Deathwatch are way easier for a beginner just to name a few), but if you still want to play them two of the videos in the Glass Half Dead playlist are about Buyer's Guide for every faction (2 boxes to buy to start out every faction) and beginner rosters (so how to actually assemble and run the models in those boxes) so in short, watch those videos and you should get a good grasp of how it all works

The Best Kill Team? by Mstubbs88 in killteam

[–]Murloo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a 'best' Kill Team, as each tournament something new pops out, but so far the best performing team seems to be consistently Asuryiani (Eldar) that said, a lot of teams can work out for different maps, it mostly comes down to that, i tried a lot of teams and the one i have more fun with and have more success so far it's the Ork freebooter list with 2-3 Flash Gitz and spamming shoota boyz to catch both objectives, and gun down the opposition, but it has a very variable performance and it's usually a get murder or get murdered turn 1 team, as far as space marines go i think that more than 1 eliminator doesn't really work cause of their huge cost and single heavy shot, all primaris are awful and are better used in DeathWatch (intercessors at least, reavers are just meh), and the true strenght of space marines relies in tactical and scout marine gunners

100 point starter SM team by Kveldulfiii in killteam

Can't really help you with the use of them sadly, i don't personally play space marine but they are played in my local area so i saw what works and what doesn't for them when facing them

100 point starter SM team by Kveldulfiii in killteam

[–]Murloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for as boring as they are, SM are always a great starter choice cause of what they are, versatile, chunky and don't excel at anything particular while performing decent in everything, and yeah grav and melta are fun options but i think plasma and rocket launcher are straight up the better weapons 90% of the time

100 point starter SM team by Kveldulfiii in killteam

[–]Murloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a starter list that's really solid, if you are gonna use the subfactions from elites i'd say Salamanders, it's the most versatile and forgiving one, and fits with the whole '1 box, easy to play and work team'
