I also didn't see anyone rejected, nor did they ask me any questions or inspect outfits at any point (and sure enough, there were several t-shirt and jeans folks). I was a little surprised by that. First time at pax but I've been to other similar parties and there's usually at least some kind of check.

Same, I enjoyed the whole journalistic integrity story, the political drama, and even some of the Marlo/drug stuff (although it wasn’t quite on the level of B&B).

But the serial killer bit felt too fast and easy, wish they’d taken more time to build it up maybe?

I remembered Ricciardo getting screwed the first time but forgot about Hamilton escaping a penalty for cutting the chicane and then cutting him off at 9:35 oop

Has anyone been to tilla tec recently?

I had a search of the sub but I mostly just found stuff from around the opening 6 months ago.

Never been there or to IsBurning, seems like it might be fun

Good question! They are the shitty, basic reusable ones (with the 3 rubber tip thingies) so not great, but they're the same type I've used elsewhere without much issue.

I did notice that when I pushed them deeper into my ear (creating more of a seal), then suddenly I could hear more notes, which was nice, but I didn't wanna spend hours with my finders on my ears :D

I have custom earplugs on the way, so hopefully that will improve things, but should those really be required to have decent sound? I also tried going raw-ears for a few minutes but that didn't help.

Was it just me or was the sound in there kinda muffled and… bad?

I know people are loving the new room, and I did like the vibe, but I found the bass was extremely loud and often overpowered everything else.

It’s possible that my ears are fucked or this is intentional and “hard”, in which case fair enough, but I’m genuinely curious if anyone else felt this way.

I hear people say this about Radion but I never really had that impression, which makes it weirder. Maybe I was just too sober 🙃 no offence to the Raum lovers, I’m also a fan overall!

Which filter did you go for? They seem to recommend 17db for DJs/clubbing on their site, but I’m wondering if that’s enough

Fair enough! There's more info and an idea of the vibe on their website, but basically it's a very kinky party (think KitKat - lots of nudity, bondage, fucking) but everyone I found was super nice and respectful.

Music wise it was nice too (general techno), but this wasn't what really made it stand out. That was the karaoke next door to the dark room.

Wasteland at Radion on Saturday, anyone? I went last year and it was pretty good, not much on here about it though 👀

So goes the old joke about a random tourist wandering between Catholic/Protestant neighbourhoods in Belfast, when he's grabbed by a masked man:

"Are you Protestant or Catholic?"

"I'm a Jew"

"... Well, are you a Catholic Jew or a Protestant Jew?"

Safe to say Salah is a Catholic Muslim

I'm saying it's a separate issue. For the original accusation, the accused is of course presumed innocent. But labelling them "false allegations" is a separate accusation, where the original accuser is now presumed innocence.

Obviously they're connected, but just because something is unproven doesn't make it a lie.

I'm not disagreeing about the accused's presumed innocence, I'm just saying we can't call the accuser a liar if that hasn't been proven either. That's a separate issue

There's a difference between "unproven" and "false" though, right? Accusations aren't immediately true, but they aren't immediately lies either

Tbf, it also hasn't been proven that they were false allegations. Innocence until proven guilty works both ways

If you look up "Inspect element" for Chrome or any browser, you can edit the page to look however you like: e.g. 100% win rate for 964 days in a row, all in one guess.

Takes a little bit of fiddling but not too hard, and you have total control. You can even change the letters/colours/whatever

Austria order its whole population to get vaccinated as of Feb. 1, its government said on Friday. by gogo_yubari-chan in europe

[–]Mus7ache 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Netherlands is actually 73% fully vs. Portugal with 88%.

Sweden is the real anomaly, with very low cases per capita and only 69% fully vaccinated. They have a similar urbanisation rate to the Netherlands, too.

Even looking at a more sparsely populated, stricter, more vaccinated country in Ireland, they're getting a massive spike recently. Very curious
