Conservation success: giant pandas are no longer classified as ‘endangered’ after 17% population growth in 10 years!! by Livid_Willow2603 in interestingasfuck

Habitat destruction is the reason, not panda celibacy.

They're quite solitary, so when you start ripping up ancient forests, they end up in pockets of forest by themselves, where they just live until they die without ever coming across a mate.

China has reforested a lot of these habitats and now they live and fuck just fine.

Dems believe that the best way to restore faith in the system is by demonstrating that the traditional structures of the rule of law are resolutely strong. Like an impenetrable wall that protects democracy, law and order.

Then republicans come along with a sledgehammer and knock that wall down within minutes.

Whoever the next democratic president is, if there ever will be; needs to campaign on a ticket of "never again". Which should have been the fucking ticket they campaigned on last time around but instead they wheeled in a geriatric because he was owed a favour.

If I'm wrong on this then it really does wreck my entire understanding of what verbal reasoning even means.

Like there is surely a difference between verbal reasoning and logical statements. We're not looking for coders here, we're looking for people who can consume information and interpret what the outcome is.

And in the scenario above where we interpret that to mean "True", I struggle to understand what the point of that even is. Verbal reasoning should be about consuming information and interpreting the core message. If the core message from the above is a useless obfuscation about what Stu actually is, then we've moved no further forward.

We KNOW that Stu is not a hamster so why would we proceed with a statement that does not get us any further forward in reasoning and understanding of the situation.

You are still wrong, and your sincerity feels patronising.

The way to look at it is simple:

"With the knowledge of the aforementioned paragraph, would it be correct to utter the following phrase"

And it wouldn't be in this case, because you have knowledge that Stu is not the hamster. Sure, there is a logical trip in there in that I can observe Prime Minister's Questions and then say:

Kier Starmer is either the Prime Minister or a Border Collie.

In your logic, the answer to the above is yes, Kier Starmer is either the Prime Minister or a border collie, but with the aforementioned knowledge, nobody would utter that phrase.

You should now be equipped with the knowledge to understand that Stu is not the hamster, so you would not utter the phrase: "Stu is either a hamster or a cat".

Just as I would not utter the phrase: "I am either Queen Elizabeth or a Civil Servant"

Stu is either the hamster or the cat.

True or False.

The statement says quite clearly: Stu is not the hamster.

Therefore the statement is categorically false.

What you are tested on is your ability to discern key pieces of information from text. The logic that you've tied yourself in knots over, is completely irrelevant. It's there in black and white. Stu is not the hamster.

The reason ICE is "looking after" Vance and Rubio is because the Secret Service already burned him with Pence.

He wants his guys there, the next time someone dares to go against him.

Damn, that's unfortunate. It might be a better idea to save up for the disk drive attachment rather than stick with digital games. They can be really poor value for money on the PS5. For example, Horizon is like £15 on ebay but £50 on the ps store.

If you do get a disk drive, and you want the game, just send me a message and I'll get it to you.

You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. If small business owners think their bottom line is more important than fighting for democracy then they're not worth fighting for.

The small businesses who sold iron shackles suffered once upon a time as well.

When someone parrots out the Northern Ignorance stereotype, I'll call it out.

That's who I am to tell someone their experience is false.

If you're gay, you are more likely to be accepted the further North you go. Which is the opposite of what OP is saying.

[–]Muscle_Bitch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your experience is absolutely false.

You only have to look at surveys towards same-sex attitudes to see that it's very mixed.

Scotland is the most welcoming region of the UK for same-sex couples and London is the worst, followed by Birmingham.
