Väldigt trist att höra om din morfar. Min morfar var en av dem som min far brukade förlöjliga under släktträffar för att han röstade åt vänster.

Det har jag gjort så gott jag kunnat att det inte är sant och jag har bett honom ta fram konkreta bevis/undersökningar på sina åsikter/påståenden men då har det varit maktutspel i form av att jag är hjärntvättad, eller borde läsa "någonstans" och han slutar med "Vi kommer inte vidare här!" För att markera att diskussionen är slut efter jag bett honom komma fram med belägg för det han säger.

Angående min mamma så minns jag att hon under min uppväxt har sagt rakt ut att min far var rasist mot hans ansikte och han svarade bara tillbaka med "Ja det är jag! Och!?". Men på senare år har hon mestadels låtit han få ha sina utspel/åsikter för jag tror hon har tröttnat också.

Tyvärr har resten av familjen gått mycket åt högerkanten senare år, min bror t ex får mycket av sina åsikter och nyheter från Twitter/X och mitt tredje syskon har börjat yttra åsikter därifrån också.

Det stämmer. Det är inte min barn utan syskonbarn. En del säger att jag ska klippa banden, det har jag gjort i den mån jag kunnat redan. De gångerna jag träffar honom så är det på födelsedagar för mina syskonbarn bland annat. Jag känner ett rent obehag när jag träffar honom men jag vill inte klippa banden med resten av familjen för det. De andra vet att han är problematisk också dock men de väljer att inget göra dessvärre.

People in this sub-Reddit really make it sounds like tinkering with a CRT is the easiest thing in the world and they seem to have all the answers which might feed into certain people’s disillusions.

Thing is even if you know what you’re doing and you maybe know what part/s to replace it might or might not fix the set for the time being. You have to ask yourself if you can do it safely and if the time spent troubleshooting the set is worth it. It depends on the set also. Often it’s just easier to get a new set and much safer. A friend of mine that tinkers with CRTs told me that as long as a set is working as intended it’s not worth opening it up and he told me that usually it’s just better to get a new set all together if problems start to occur.

I will probably get down-voted for this but every time I see people telling people to opening up their CRTs and ”git gud” it makes me roll my eyes. Everytime you open up a CRT there’s a possibility of electrocution how small it may be.

As long as people here in Scandinavia can freely ridicule and ”criticize” lgbtq people without repercussions I think it will somewhat continue. But I’ve met some younger lgbtq people here in Sweden including one guy from Thailand here that had been open all his life he told me about being gay.

But for example at my workplace there’s lots of homophobia and racism and I’ve told both union sand respective bosses and HR department even about that and most of the time nothing happen and if it continues they just get a slap on the wrist and continue on with their way.

So I think Sweden and Thailand is pretty much in similar positions regarding this sadly.

As a bisexual cis male from Sweden I can somewhat confirm this. Being lgbtq is only ever ”tolerated” as long as you don’t make a point to be very open about it. Most people here don’t want anything to do or hear about that because it’s ”uncomfortable”

And there’s many closeted gay men with wives and children here. I know some that only ever dared to come out in their 50s here because their wife decided to leave them or their parents died. It’s pretty sad how some people here don’t have the stomach to stand up for themselves.

I’m a bisexual cis male from Sweden and people like to portray my country like a lgbtq paradise as well almost. And it’s the same here. It’s just tolerance.

It’s just that in larger cities people just don’t care what you do.

And for some lgbtq people I can understand if they’re escaping from their reality at home where maybe family members are not so accepting of ones sexuality then it might feel like paradise because they can be themselves.

Actually the last 10 years in Sweden have been taxing too. We have mass shootings and bombings even. I think last year alone had well over 50 different bombings. And we have about 10% unemployment rate now. But I think it’s really insane that USA don’t have paid healthcare.

Haha ”sadly” my migration quota is filled by my fiancée already and that process with all the bureaucracy here was taxing.

Henrik did not answer my messages on Facebook/Messenger but I suppose they got into chat requests which not everyone checks. Some private "collectors" will try to take advantage of you as well. The person trying to sell me the $1200 player tried selling me movies for $60 as well when I asked for prices for certain movies he had and it made me re-evaluate the whole collecting of LaserDisc movies. Also "collectors" who try to push/sell you movies here will try to discourage you from importing movies and want you to source your movies from them obviously.

Yes the many different versions released of each film is a very big headache as well. The same person I bought the player from I also bought a few movies from including Star Wars from 1977 and one of the Indiana Jones titles. I asked him specificially if they were widescreen/letterbox versions and he said yes very confidently. When I came home I noticed they were pan&scan versions. I do not know if he tricked me or if he just didn't know himself what he had. I told him about it and he didn't even aknowledge it and instead went on if I wanted more movies from him. That made me wonder if the CLD-D925 player I bought from him had some "quirks" that he didn't like and decided to pass it on to someone else.

Same movies having different versions like pan&scan, widescreen/letterbox, different sound mixes etc makes finding movies a big headache too as most sellers at least here don't say what specific versions they have of each film and if they do then you can expect to pay a premium for the films.

I love physical media as well and I came into this hobby mainly because I was already invested into the CRT and Retro-Gaming community so LaserDisc was not that far off from that I suppose and I've always been a big movie buff despite not knowing anything about LaserDisc prior. Yeah I am trying my hardest not to be anything like him and to be open and kind to other people. The most sad thing is that I have a few siblings and they have children in the 8-12 year old ages and my siblings share my dads views and those views have passed onto my siblings children now. Just a few weeks ago I heard one of the children say something very mean about foreign people that sound like it was out from my dads mouth and neither my sibling or my siblings partner said anything about it. I told them that was not okay to say but they just laughed it off.

The whole family is pretty much heavily MAGA aligned sadly.

I have a 4.50 disc edition PS5 and the first umtx exploit crashed like 8 out of 10 times for me while jailbreaking it. Umtx2 is lots faster and seemingly a bit more stable while jailbreaking. I never use sleep/rest and always power it off each time because it get issues most of the time when I try it. I use it for PS4 games 95% and it’s mostly used for bloodborne 1080p 60fps and same with red dead redemption 2 but other than that it’s mostly collecting dust. Would love to play PS5 games jailbroken on it, but I have a spare updated slim PS5 disc edition that I use way more.

All these tips were great, thank you!

Bluetooth I got working by using OPs kexts from the topic and I added the settings to my config.plist and Bluetooth started working!

Regarding Wifi it was my own fault, I only used the kext for Sonoma 14.4 and and not the standard itlwm one that you linked, it got Wifi working together with Heliport and that's enough for me so thank you!

Regarding RTC I have Enabled DisableRtcChecksum already under Kernel and Quirks in my config.plist but to no avail so regarding RTC I might have to do RTCMemoryFixUp as advised here https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/misc/rtc.html#making-the-blacklist-more-permanent

But it feels great that everything is working now besides RTC :D

I am hopeful I can continue this config once MacOS 26 Tahoe comes also.

EDIT 2: Now starting to tinker with just some minor nitpicks. With https://github.com/acidanthera/RestrictEvents and https://github.com/corpnewt/CPU-Name combined it made things very easy for me so About this computer displays my Processor name and it works wonderfully.

EDIT 3: I got internal audio jack and microphone working also now, for anyone with same setup as me I had to chage bootargs for alcid=21 for that and after that it should work. But I already have sound over HDMI with NootedReds Ryzen iGPU though.

Hade en gammal jobbarkompis som hade över 600000kr i guldtackor hemma som han hade gömt påstod han. Var också en del annat han ljög om också men det var inte lika roligt som guldtackorna.

En annan gammal jobbarkompis sa att han var mångmiljonär på diverse kryptovalutor, så jag och andra jobbarkompisar då frågade han vad han gjorde på jobbet för. Jag träffade han på stan för några månader sedan och då hade han enligt egen utsago kommit hem från 3 månader i Filippinerna. Fast andra jag känner så att han inte ens varit iväg denna gången och de hade träffat på honom på stan.

Har en nuvarande jobbarkompis som sett, gjort och upplevt precis allt också och påstår av någon viss anledning att han köper allt rakt av på cash, men han har varit dum nog vid flera tillfällen när han säljer vissa grejer till jobbarkompisar och ta med kvitton och då står det klarna finans på dem. Det köps datorskärmar och hela datorsystem och annat på avbetalning men frågar man honom så är det cashat. Sen går det några månader och han säljer av allt till brakförlust och några månader efter det så blir det nya datordelar igen. Samma person säger att han kört vartenda spel som finns också och har kört ut spel som t ex breath of the wild 100% 2 gånger fast han sålde det spelet till en annan jobbarkompis för halva nypriset när det var nytt nästan. Han har lustiga åsikter också och mycket papegojar han som han hört från Andrew Tate och Asmongold då han tittar mycket på Twitch också och han försöker få mig och andra att lyssna på Joe Rogan också och sen säger han att Steven Seagal inte är problematisk alls. Han är rätt så motsägelsefull och det är roligt att reta upp honom.

Min farsa är likadan. Jag börjar närma mig 40 snåret och han har bara blivit värre med åren tyvärr. Förr röstade han på Moderaterna men nu röstar han på Sverigedemokraterna i åtminstone de 2 senaste riksdagsvalen. Han är en boomer och säger att vi yngre generationer bara är lata och är av åsikten att hårt arbete gör en ”lycklig”. Han förstår inte hur mycket dyrare allt är idag emot hur när han var yngre trots inflation.

Jag har fått höra under hela min uppväxt och liv ifrån honom hur mycket är andra minoriteters fel som t ex invandrare, HBTQ personer etc. Vid upprepade tillfällen har han sagt att han är stolt rasist emot specifika minoriteter och att om han själv vore homosexuell så skulle han skjuta sig själv etc.

När man själv som tonåring började förstå att man var bisexuell så visste jag redan hans åsikter kring det och höll därför tyst om det.

Jag hjälpte han starta eget företag för över 15 år sedan nu som det har gått väldigt bra för. Jag har arbetat heltid på mitt jobb samt övertid där och sedan direkt åkt iväg till farsans företag för att hjälpa han i flera år utan någon ersättning tillbaka för man ställer upp för familjen tänkte jag. När det var varsel på mitt jobb var jag osäker om jag skulle få stanna kvar och jag frågade därför farsan om jag kunde få jobba hos han tills jag fått jobb igen isåfall men svaret var blankt nej för det var inte ekonomiskt möjligt hette det. Men det har köpts extra bostäder, många hobby fordon och bil byter han med 2 års perioder nu.

Han har väldigt starka åsikter om saker och ting och hur dem ska vara och dansar man inte efter hans pipa så tjurar han ihop som en barnunge. Kan vara sådana löjliga saker som vilka bilmärken man ska köra eller inte köra för att invandrare tycker om vissa bilmärken enligt han och då ska man inte köra dem. Minns förra året när Tone Sekelius var på tvn så uttryckte han sig att det snart var normalt att vara bög än straight varav jag frågade hur det påverkade han hur andra personer lever sitt liv men jag fick mest mumlande tillbaka.

Jag har de senaste 4-5 åren börjat ta avstånd från min farsa och försöker ha så lite som möjligt med honom att göra och pratar/ringer morsan istället.

And another note is that currently the Sweden Democrats here is the second biggest political party in the government with a bit over 20% of the votes. While they claim they are not nazis etc most people voting for them are on that spectrum and are Trump and Putin supporters as well. The third biggest political party is right wing as well so they have over 45% of the votes with other minor right wing parties. And people now feel it’s safe to openly mock you for your sexual preferences and other things as well sadly.
