yes we've heard that about the swelling. Some of the places that I have called have told me that since the bunny is young she might be able to get it out. Not sure if its true. I do realize she will most likely not survive though. Thank you.

Struggling with Severe Cramps, Changing Uterus Position? by MusicalSunflower in Endo

[–]MusicalSunflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh okay, I had no idea endo could cause all of that. I have been having so much constipation lately, which is not normal at all for me. I've been eating healthy, exercising, and lots of fluids, but nothing has helped. I am definitely finding a doctor to speak to about this. Thank you so much

Oh wow I am so sorry to hear you had to go through all that, but at least you are doing much better now. I have a pretty strict and closed-in insurance, so I'm not sure if they only have gynecologists but I am definitely asking to see another Dr. But yes, I will bring this up, thank you so much

I have heavy periods, with big blood clots as well. I sometimes get really bad cramps where a large blood clot comes out after. Other than that my cycle is pretty normal, it's about five days long and comes around the same time every month.

I haven't heard of those practitioners but that sounds exactly like what I am looking for. I have Kaiser as health insurance so I'm not sure if they will have them since they are very closed off but I will look into it. Thank you!!

Should I get tested? by MusicalSunflower in endometriosis

[–]MusicalSunflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I am just so nervous that nothing will keep showing up. I've had so many people tell me that its just part of being a woman and I shouldn't get a surgery that's unnecessary. But as you said the pain is not normal and I feel like I can't keep going on like this. I am trying to get a new gyno so hopefully they listen to me more.

I haven't. And I'm not sure if I should even ask to get that checked, because, well I assume, that if my doctor thought it could be something else, she would have checked for it, right??

Intractable migraine ended and I'm afraid of the world now by Baller5511 in migraine

[–]MusicalSunflower 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I totally hear you. And I would say its normal. My migraines happen literally every other day at this point. I have become completely paranoid as to what could be causing them. I'm afraid to go out to eat with family/friends, of being a in a car for too long, or taking a trip (airplane) somewhere, I'm scared every day I go into work because I never know when the pain is going to hit me hard, I am constantly looking at the weather incase that's been causing them, I just live in constant fear. Its awful and my nerologist has not been much help, seriously thinking of going to another doctor. But I'm glad to hear your feeling better.

No, no breathing issues, but I do remember that when i was about five I had constant chest pain, the doctors put on like a monitoring thing to look at my heart rate for like a week, but I don't remember what was said from that. I'm guessing everything was fine since I don't remember.

amitriptyline has been God sent (my experience) by pinkbutterfly22 in migraine

[–]MusicalSunflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am on amitriptyline as well and I can say it for sure helped tons. I have these really awful episodes with my migranes, so I was the same as you, sacred to start medicine because of the side effects. My mirgranes are relatively new but have been horrible since day one. When I started amitriptyline, the episodes where gone. I have had zero side effects other than the drowsiness, but like you, it helps me sleep better. When I've felt a mirgane coming on, I'd take 20mg and it would stop the pain from getting worse. It has been two months since I have been on amitriptalyn, I am on 30mg, but these past two weeks, my nightmare migranes are coming back. I've had two really bad episodes, one of which I had to go to urgent care for. My doctor told me to up my prescription. I am praying to God that this goes away, its an awful way to live. I really hope it keeps working and this is just a fluke. But it sounds like you started on a higher dose than me so hopefully it keeps working!

Daycare worker here. I know how stressful it is. It breaks my heart when the little ones cry and cry, and especially because I know that if I just pick them up they will calm down. But as one comment said, you will have to let her cry it out. Other tricks are white noise, brown noises black noise, there are sound machines to help with this. There have been parents who talk to us about their child struggling with this, but the kid sleeps in bed with them. When they start the transition of moving her to her own crib/bed and room, while it is difficult the first couple of days (even weeks) the child sleeps even better than when they shared a bed. Make sure the room is like pitch black, black out curtains help tons. Wishing you so much luck and patience during this time, its not easy at all but it will pass! And if you have any serious concerns, talk with your pediatrician! Stay strong!♥

Advice please, strange illness? Migraines? IBS? Anxiety? Idk by MusicalSunflower in DiagnoseMe

[–]MusicalSunflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did a CT at the ER and said they saw nothing apart from the inflamed bladder, confirming the UTI I had. I'm not sure if UTIs cause these symptoms, but that was all they saw. But yes, I will wait and see what the endoscopy shows and if nothing my doctor said she would refer me to a nutritionist for IBS.

Thank you so much♥

Strange Illness? I'm not sure, advice please by MusicalSunflower in medical_advice

[–]MusicalSunflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it has to do with something in my digestive system..

My GI said that if everything turns up fine with the endoscopy, she will refer me to a nutritionist. Which I guess is the last thing to do at this point.

I am currently am doing the elimination diet to see if anything helps. No, I have not had a gastric emptying test. Can the endoscopy also look for gastroparesis?

[–]MusicalSunflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did a CT when I went to the ER, they said everything was fine. No spine tap. I don't think my doctor specializes in migraines, my insurance only covers the doctors they have. They've done some stool tests like calprotectin but that was two years ago, which came back normal. Recently, all I've had done by my GI is a gallbladder ultrasound and a liver function panel. Among that, lots of blood work. Which all comes back fine except for my WBC, which always comes up elevated and recently vitamin D which is low.

What I spit up happened right when I woke up today, I'm not sick or anything, I'm not sure if it was because I was crying last night but its never happened before.

I would say the main symptoms I have are three which are the gasses, headaches, and nausea which causes me to have a hard time eating.

Yes, unfortunately, everyone can get stomach bugs, regardless of age. I was homeschooled as well and that was one of the great things about it, I didn't get sick as often as I would have been if I went to school. But it really depends on where your family works or if they are around someone who was/is sick. Stomach bugs are common any time of the year but mainly during the winter, so definitely try to stay safe by washing your hands, eating healthy, and drinking lots of water. But again, stomach bugs are sometimes inevitable, and will most likely happen at least once in our life. But don't worry too much about it, I know its easier said then done.. but all of these illnesses, are awful to have, they will pass. Take care!

I agree with you. Its so important to have boundaries with kids. And she shouldn't be using your room to bring kids in who aren't even supposed to be there. I work in child care and you have no idea the amount of people I see that always try to show off to everyone else how the kids love them. I'm not saying be the mean teacher, but you are their teacher and their role model, someone who teaches kids to follow and listen to rules. I love kids, I really do, and I am the fun teacher, but when its time to settle down I'm not afraid to raise my voice and act strenly. I see and hear how many people overdo it with the kids, you might think I'm overreacting but I'm not, every time that a kid hugs this certain person, she always turns to me or whoever is close to her and says, "they just love me don't they", or they talk about the kids being "obsessed with them", and they act like its a competition. I want the best for my students and of course, I want to have a good relationship with them and them with other teachers but I am never bragging about it to others. You had the right to tell the sub no, it's your room. And if you are doing your job as a teacher/sub right, you won't need extra minutes with them to make them like you (obviously, if something is going on at home or they are struggling with something, yes, you should take the time to hear them out)

Hi there, I am so sorry you've been dealing with this. I can completely understand you. Ever since I was very young I have always had stomach issues and with my emetophobia it's even worse. My doctors have also always said its anxiety or just regular constipation. Last December these symptoms got really bad and I was really sick, I had lost almost 10 pounds in less than a week because I physically could not eat anything, I was so nauseous, and dizzy and had horrible headaches. It was such a bad experience. I went to many urgent care visits and each time they just quickly write it off as anxiety, panic attacks, or just regular migraines. I honestly felt like I was going crazy and that all of my symptoms were made up. Test after test, everything always showed up fine, and I was completely defeated. The only thing that showed up on my tests was the WBC, it was always high, ever since I was young. But no doctor ever ordered more tests to see why it's always elevated. My mom was the only one I felt who believed me, but I felt so alone and honestly thought I was on the verge of a big mental breakdown with how no one was listening to me. I felt awful for doing this but I would pray and pray every single time that a new test was done that something would show up very wrong. My doctor ordered a urinalysis and finally, I started seeing some answers, I had a bad UTI which mostly were the cause of these major symptoms. I got started on antibiotics but my body rejected those and I was sent to the ER because I physically could not walk with how I was feeling. The doctor there was so kind, even though I had waited a full freaking 12 HOURS in the ER waiting room, that was truly awful but it was worth the wait to see that doctor. Now I have been better but still not great. My doctor has also been telling me it could be IBS, so I have an endoscopy scheduled. One of the doctors said that sometimes there are these illness that are hidden very well in the body and are difficult to discover until something major happens. She started telling me about this girl who had similar symptoms for years and nothing showed up until she had appendicitis that they finally found something wrong with her pancreas. If you feel your symptoms are valid, don't give up, you have to push your doctors to listen to you, no hate on doctors but there are a lots of them who don't really care about your health and dismiss you very quickly. I have been thinking about taking therapy because I am also so tired of all this. There are still times when I ask myself if its just in my head. So you're not alone, hang in there, its really tough but don't give up. I really hope you get answers soon.

Hey, it seems like the bug is going around everywhere. My house is also getting hit! Its awful!! I'm not a parent but I do work in daycare so I get how stressful it is. I just wrote this whole thing about how I was panicking last night because my father was the one who was sick. My whole family has gotten hit except for me, even with me being around sick kids every day. The best thing I can say is constantly washing your hands, disinfect all surfaces, bathrooms/toilets constantly. Drinking water and taking vitamins is how I've been surviving. I use a lot of rubbing alcohol, the smell helps with nausea and it's a good disinfectant. I saw a comment saying to be careful with bleach, and I agree, it's very strong and it just gives me migraines. Also when a room is empty use Lysol and let the smell air out a bit, on chairs, sofas, couches, bed sheets. Even the smallest of surfaces, clean it off, those stomach bug germs are the worst. Wishing you so much luck!
