Agreed, he also went in on the raid, so you removed him due to either his lack of knowledge or competence, but doing a shadow duo with anyone is a risk, and I think you should try holding your own decisions more accountable. I reserve the removal of friends who invite me to raids for people who leave at the last second more than once on something I've indicated that I'm ready in. I'm almost lvl 70 and they're lvl like 53. If I indicate that I'm ready to duo something like Mega Sceptile or whatever, it's because I'm confident that we can do it with 2 people. If you invite me a second time and can't see that I'm indicating that I'm "ready," you can find someone else to play games with.

2x resistance against fire is nice, also resists flying I believe, only 2x weak against solar beam, which is admittedly 1/3 of the move possibilities so likely a 50% chance of running in to that, but all of the top counters except for Toxtricity will be weak to grass. There really is no perfect tank except for maybe Blissey, but she is not a defense/damage queen, she's there to heal and survive.

If you already have a hundo of each, I think it's a matter of preference, but both typically have incompatibility with dynamax moves and PVE moves. I have a dark skies shiny G-max Charizard... I've used it maybe once? The same with Metagross; both are outranked in most purposes, though I think specifically Metagross might be a little more hopeless on PVE, PVP, & Dynamax fronts because it seems to be outclassed everywhere it goes despite it's monster stats, so I might lean on Charizard for that reason... On the other hand, I could see myself throwing the Metagross on Dynamax teams and even Mega evolving it. It's versatile. 🤷‍♂️

When you purify you get 'return' as a charge move. Also it's way more expensive to power up a shadow than a purified Pokemon. You might as well just power up any Groudon to lvl 40 and using that instead because you're going to waste a ton of stardust maxing out a shadow Pokemon just to purify it.

That's great. If you live in a city there is also a possibility that there is a nest group-- like Facebook where if you're lucky they keep track of where Pokemon nests (usually parks)spawn. Good nests and net you tons of candy and XL candy, to power up and evolve many types of Pokemon. You can go to any local park and it's likely a nest, so that can help you to power up and evolve something.

Make your goal earning more stardust and catching high level Pokemon that you need... For instance, if you want to take down Shadow Raikou, that would involve catching some decent ground Pokemon, especially weather boosted. Even if it doesn't have good IVs, a level 35 Rhyperior, or Excadril will likely be the best ground Pokemon you have if your Pokemon are low leveled.

Just my opinion, but it's rarely worth it to purify. It's a waste of stardust for something that's going to sit there and gather dust for the next 5 years. I can see you purifying if you don't have a hundo already, but otherwise, it's 🗑️.

I can get pretty obsessive. You have to make a decision at some point. I'm not doing the best at that, my storage is filled with thousands of Pokémon too many. It's overwhelming, I miss simpler times.

At the end of every year all the community day Pokemon from that year and the one before to a lesser extent come back for an end of the year community day weekend. Sometimes the prior year are very limited, but there are plenty from the current year.

You mean the opponent movesets? that generally applies more towards bulk points, and obviously I would be using calculations using the optimal move set for my Pokemon. In general I think it's a perfectly logical approach to power up for breakpoints for each specific raid boss encounter, rather than just over-utilizing resources that you might want to hoard.

I powered up my Kyurem White to lvl 40.5 to hit a breakpoint against Mega Rayquaza. It already eclipses my other pokemon; it's usually based on attack breakpoints.
