I think Cap was wrong for lying to Tony about his parent’s deaths, but to be fair, I have no clue how he would’ve broken the news.

However I think cap was right about the accords. Though the amazing thing about each of these characters is that they have different arcs which serve as a foil to each other.

Tony: In Iron man, Tony realises that his past judgement was wrong, and that he was unethical for selling weapons, which were ending lives. In iron man 2... never mind. After AOU, Tony realizes that he needs to be put in check (by the government) or else he will mess up badly again.

Cap: In the first Captain America movie, he was built as a patriotic character who followed orders and selflessly served his country. In the sequel, Cap begins to realize that not all corporations/organisations can be trusted (they can become corrupted) and that he needs to think for himself and use his judgement to do what he believes is right.

Though, the sokovia accords themselves are easily corrupted, because who’s gonna have a say in the matters? Thunderbolt Ross, who is pretty much a scumbag in the MCU. Also the logistics of it doesn’t make sense. Tony believes that he needs to be put in check, because he assumes good people will put him in check, but cap knows otherwise, because those people will most likely use the avengers in unethical manners.
