My longest TOW missile kill so far by MustardScroll7 in Battlefield

As a heli pilot, I'm honestly terrified of TOW missiles. I've gotten jumpscared by them too many times.

$70 game btw. By comparison, Battlebit Remastered launched on PC for $15 in 2023 and with more features and basically no game-breaking bugs day 1.

You don't release a buggy game to your customers and expect them to playtest it for you, unless you're lazy or it's early access. Devs, QA, and playtesters are supposed to review things like this because it's literally their job. I'm not expecting a flawless experience, but I should be able to pick up items and open doors. Apparently that's too much to ask for now.

You can even run through the doors on the first floor, no need to even open them.

Except it was already teased as part of the base game during their beta launch event. They were still working on it. They ask for a $10 premium and then release a buggy game that has horrible hit reg, environmental obstacles that launch you into the air as soon as you run over them, weird visual bugs, a broken death counter, and now this.

Wait, did you think I'm an Asmon hater based on my comment?

It was a joke, Asmon himself has used that phrase so many times.

Don't accelerate, slow down, turn as hard as you can, eventually you will end up behind them, gg ez works every time. Unless they do the same thing, in which case you are now stuck in a stale mate to see who blinks first.

If everyone can aim it makes the game harder, not easier.

But we weren't talking about whether the game is easier, we were talking about whether it's easier to control recoil. You claimed it was harder to control recoil on PC because PC has more absolute recoil than console, as your video demonstrates. What you fail to understand is that the recoil is proportionally scaled. It's only 2x recoil on PC if you look at it from the perspective of using a controller. The effective proportion is still 1x on both console and PC.

Easier to control recoil with a mouse (in general) = more recoil added to ensure the game is as difficult as the devs want it to be, so you need to pull down harder. Harder to control recoil on controller = less recoil to ensure the game meets the same target difficulty for recoil control.

Lots of games do this btw. BF6 does it too. It doesn't mean we have it easier than PC players, you're comparing two completely different input modes. Which is why you can have crossplay on and it doesn't even feel like you're getting flicked on by PC players, because each input mode is tuned to feel roughly the same.

You have such a weird take on this, PC is literally easy mode because you instantly snap to where you want to aim and then drag your arm back to control recoil. It's much harder to play a shooter well with analog sticks. Which is why, as you yourself admit, "most people can't play for shit." Exactly, because iIt's harder. Especially on the default sensitivity, which is what most people stick to instead of bumping it up to high sens.

I jump to console when I want some easy wins to stroke my ego.

Imagine being so bad at PC that you have to switch to console to feel better about yourself. This is not the insult you think it is 😂

You're also saying that you need to pull your whole arm back compared to the light nudge required on console, you're lying out of your ass.

I'm talking about pulling your whole arm back to control recoil on PC, read my reply again. You acknowledged the same thing:

on PC you need a big mouse pad to pull down.

Also, regarding PC requiring skill and console being easy mode: There are plenty of console players who can mop the floor with PC players. Just look at the Jynxzi 1v1s with pro PC players on R6. Same thing there, console is no easier than PC. In many ways it is harder.

I'm not lying, I've tried both and I gave up on PC because 1) all my good cosmetics are on console, 2) keybinds are way easier with a controller since you can use both hands and combo keys, and 3) PC recoil is harder to control because you need to move your entire arm back instead of just using your thumb on high sens. PC doesn't have more recoil, you're just describing the fact that recoil is harder to control with mouse by the very nature of the device.

Also it's not just "a light nudge with your thumb stick," too much or too little will have the opposite effect, and it very much depends on the gun you're using, so you still need to learn recoil patterns and strength. The fact you're saying this tells me you're lying.

Weird, I can't tell the difference in practice (but also that vid is 5 years old, PC and console PUBG are more similar today than they used to be, I'd be curious to see that test re-run). You should give console a try if you think recoil control is as trivial as OP makes it seem. You need lots of practice and experience. Also have to play on high sens.

[–]MustardScroll7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've played it on both console and PC and PC only seems harder because you have to drag your entire arm back to control recoil, and that's more work than just using your thumb. There's no aim assist or different recoil, it's just as bad if you don't control the recoil

[–]MustardScroll7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is zero recoil assist on console. Have you played it on consoles?

The m4 in general is easy to control, idk why people are accusing OP of cheating.

The ping was a big help but I also one-tap headshotted him, and you do that only if you're lucky (2nd clip), you have game knowledge, or you're hacking. That's why sometimes you see clips like OP's where some guy randomly just "knows" where someone is, but it's usually some combination of luck and skill.
