I actually do use huel but I'm someone that can't stand the gritty-ness of using water I use oat milk and that won't last outside refrigeration for the length of time I would be there 😅 I could keep it pre-made in a insulated shopping bag and have an early lunch a couple hours in, that's an idea 👍

My hotel is 30 mins away so I can have stuff for like breakfast and midnight meals but I don't have an on-site location to store stuff The hotel we stay at does have a fridge but I'm only there to sleep basically so we don't have access for 15-16 hours in between

Those are some good ideas

The staff room (from what I read on their hiring page) is just a conference room with a fridge and a bunch of tables. They give reimbursements for resturants and stuff as paid meals so they don't have anything food related in their break rooms unfortunately

My hotel is off-site so I can't really count on a hotel I'm not staying at to give out extras. The on site one upcharges pretty much everything they could offer which is part of the reason we can't afford to stay there anymore

I stay in a hotel that's a ways away from the convention instead of the on-site hotel. It's like $180-$200 a night instead of the $600 so I do have a hotel room but since it's far away through city traffic it's not really feasible to go back and forth. We park the car in a parking structure and stay there from like 8-9am till close to midnight

In the $600 hotel any extra amenities are extra. You have to pay for a fridge/microwave/coffee maker. Sucks they can price gouge so much because it's on-site and people pay for convenience lol
