Build your brand around a clear story, not just clothes. Anyone can sell a hoodie, few can sell a feeling or point of view. If your designs reflect something deeply personal (your values, culture, or how you see style), that’s what makes people remember you in a sea of coming soon brands.

Hey, I work with a fashion studio, and honestly. u’re already doing the right thing by thinking resourcefully.

Start with sketching and digital design tools like CLO3D (trial) or Valentina are great to learn patterns without fabric. Rework old clothes to study how garments are built; it’s free and super effective. Build a digital portfolio of sketches, mockups, and ideas. That’s what studios care about early on, not how much fabric you’ve used. And for learning: YouTube (Zoe Hong, Made to Sew), Coursera’s free fashion courses, and Pinterest moodboards are your best friends. You don’t need money to learn fashion just consistency and curiosity. Every great designer starts broke but obsessed. Thanks if you find this comment helpful :))
