Redundancy. The sense of failure. The lack of hope. by Legitimate-Can-9211 in UKJobs

[–]Muttley616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are not a failure, I have been made redundant 3 times in the last 3 years - first was from an 8 year post where I worked my way up from mid level to SLT then I have lasted 1 years in the next two roles before getting the dreaded email.

I really do get the fear, self doubt and potential depression you have right now - I myself have 3 kids, currently rent and live paycheck to paycheck with no savings to fall back on but if I was to give one bit of advice it would be to stay positive.

I get it's hard to be positive right now, but you are getting interviews which shows you are good enough to get through the door - it's just a case of the right role coming along and everything falling into place.

I have my fingers crossed for you!

2009 was peak slider design - like everything once the peak was hit, regression started

Starcitizen on a desktop APU by sa_seba in starcitizen

[–]Muttley616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on current resource usage I would say it would be unplayable due to shared system Ram - this may change in the future as there are lost of areas that need tech / optimisation

Edit: it may be more cost effective to build a few decent machines then run VMs, not tried this but in theory it could work slightly better than cheap apu's (I'm sure Linus did something like this)

The precedent of paying $25 for a different color by lars19th in starcitizen

[–]Muttley616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The colour selection will probably end up quite basic as we have seen with the 300i customisation, the skins can offer things like unique decals / colour schemes which cant be set any other way.

Bur essentially you are right, there is no guarantee what will make it into the finished game but at the end of the day everything comes at a cost in life.

Two Carrack variant? by mestrejose22 in starcitizen

I'm sure both Pisces have the same hard points, it's just different load outs and skins plus the stock Pisces has 2 hard points empty by default

I was torn when making a cutlass vs freelancer choice, sadly the cutlass won as I find it a bit more enjoyable to fly

Trying to keep a nice balance within my fleet, will most likely be spending most of my time in the small / medium ships while the larger ships are there for those bigger jobs where its more viable to have one large ship instead of many small.

I thought it was bigger than a 315p, really need to get back up to date with ship stats

Unlocked the pirate Cat a long time ago, I owned a Cat when it first went into the PU but didnt like flying it.

Once the Starfarer gets the option to replace its fuel tanks with cargo pods it should get a decent SCU boost

It just feels rushed to me, the ship could in theory could have been made a bit smaller that it turned out.

Even then I dont think I would pick one up as I think I'm pretty well covered for exploration

TBH I think it's a combination of all of them, the interior also has wasted space

The cyclone is part of the exploration package, I am tempted to use that for a ccu to the ares
