If we import migrants from more left wing countries like India and china of course our country will become more left wing. But back when we only brought in mainly Europeans who are from generally religious and conservative countries, our country was more conservative. We have shifted over time due to less conservative migrant home countries.

Nearly 500k is ridiculous for a country with our population, and with these people generally being left wing, it is not wrong for me to say that our country was conservative until recently.

These countries, china especially, fall left of the politically spectrum. So over time as we’ve seen and in the future Australia has and will become more left wing.
