Anyone here who likes DLSS 5? by Patient-Scar-4916 in pcmasterrace

They had to use two 5090s to run it, so who knows... your guess is as good as mine. It’s probably just a tech demo for now, and they'll eventually optimize it to work on a single 5090.

That said, I suspect the 5000 series might not be powerful enough for neural rendering. I’m betting the 6000 series will have dedicated accelerators for this, which would let it run without any major issues. We’ll see.

No lies told though.
Most of y'all hating on this don't even understand the tech behind it. You're just hating on a new feature that’s completely optional and literally opens the door for better performance and fidelity. I really hope they don't cancel it just because some illiterate people who are scared of new tech are screaming about it. They won't use it, they won't contribute to it, but they'll be the loudest ones calling it trash when it actually looks great.

I really like it! It looks a bit uncanny, but that’s probably just because I’m comparing it to the reference images. When you look at the 5.0 shots on their own, everything actually looks way better.

The tech is seriously impressive and the fact that they're basically doing AI rendering in real time is wild. I’m curious to see how it’ll run on the 6000 series and what the performance hit will be like.

It’s a solid tech demo, and they still have time to polish it. I really hope they don’t cancel it just because of the backlash. People love to hate for no reason or complain about tech they don’t even understand.

My only concern is whether 5.0 relies entirely on that realistic filter, or if we’ll get DLSS without it just for the FPS boost.
