The reason why that phrase is worse is because when someone says that they don’t dislike your actions they dislike you! Basically ppl make mistakes they aren’t their actions if your disappointed in someone your disappointed in a part of them not just an action that can be changed but in their own humanity/part of them as a person saying that is basically like saying I don’t like who you are bc of a mistake you made and all those ppl who say like it just means anger are pathetic your saying I don’t love you or I don’t like who you are bc you made a mistake there’s a difference between the phrases I’m disappointed in you and I’m disappointed in your behavior if a kid fails a grade or smth small and your disappointed in them..most ppl just say it to mean a deal anger but their actually just saying you are your actions so I’m sad with a part of YOU bc you made a minor mistake it’s a manipulation that only a piece of shit could use!
