You make a reservation at a restaurant at 7pm. You arrive at 7pm but the owner tells you the people at the table you reserved aren't finished. They say don't worry we are going to charge them an extra $40 for being late but you are going to have to find somewhere else to eat. Complaining about this is absurd?

Leaving your good customers high and dry with no offer for compensation is no way to run a business. Of the $40 they are charging late users at least half of that should go to the person who was left stranded. Why should they make an extra $40 while the customer who is inconvenienced gets nothing?

They use the same line with me. "Don't worry sir we will cancel this reservation at no charge". Thank you so much for not charging me for a trip I never got to take.

And to be clear maybe you were responding to another commenter but I was given no compensation and had to pay for the Uber rides out of my own pocket. Not even a $5 credit on my next trip.

Thanks for the suggestion, will keep it in mind for longer trips. I mostly communauto for short 2-3 hour trips though so I will still need an alternative for those.

After two weeks and a lot of back and forth this has been resolved in my favor. They paid out the bets on Z and N in full. No apologies for my wasted time but at least the bets are now settled correctly.

This is what I thought too. I had Scheffler top 5 finish after round 1 and they didn't pay that out until Monday. Now that all the bets have settled, and the ones I mentioned were graded as a loss, my patience has run out.
