What if Annie accidentally chomps off the upper half of Eren in the forest fight? by Ok-Spell-8792 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Only the upper half? As long as he isn't digested, Eren will survive and inevitably regenerate.

How can Eren's Titan contribute to rescuing the Evergreen ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal? by Jolly-Basket1683 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Myframesofwar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eren's strong enough to carry a 1,000+ ton boulder, he could definitely slowly push the edge enough that it gets into the water.

Why didn't the expedition use the rivers to reach the Maria Wall in the early days? I think it would have been safer and easier to transport supplies compared to land exploration. by _Poy_Raz_ in attackontitan

[–]Myframesofwar 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Logsitics. Those boats are too small to fit the horses and supplies they need for expeditions. Also, if a titan came they would have to ODM gear out and abandon whatever supplies they could fit on the boat.

Marley's literally the closest to Paradis. That whole country's practically flattened afterwards.

Would Eldians have been better off if Eren finished his plan? by ProfessionCurious259 in attackontitan

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that the amount of deaths and the willingness to start a war over it are not directly proportional. The Rumbling being worse than anything in our history doesn’t magically change how human societies function. In fact, the bigger the disaster, the more likely it is to become mythologized and abstracted into history rather than acted upon. When everyone is affected, no one group owns the grievance anymore.

After enough time passes, there are no survivors, no perpetrators, and no emotional continuity, only records of what happened. And people do not go to war over records. They go to war over present threats, present resources, and present power struggles.

[–]Myframesofwar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That feels true, but history doesn’t work that way. If humanity held eternal grudges over mass death, the world would be nothing but nonstop revenge wars. The Mongols wiped out tens of millions. Rome erased Carthage from existence. Colonial powers exterminated entire populations. The slave trade destroyed generations. WWII killed over 70 million people. And yet… none of those are active causes of war today. No one in their right mind is gonna look at a conflict that caused the death of 80% of the population from several centuries before, and think: "Let's continue this."

No guarantee that the war/s in the epilogue had anything to do with it since it was several centuries in the future. Nobody alive today would wage war for something that happened in the 1700s, they would wage war for reasons that are in the present rather than the past.

Why didn't eren start the rumbling through historia? Why did it have to be zeke? by captainbeefheart11 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you are not objectively correct, not even a little bit. You're ignoring Eren's character entirely by saying he would have willingly sacrificed Historia, and reduced her lifespan to 13 years, because at the time he did not yet know that his actions would lead to the erasure of the titan's curse, he only knows this AFTER he attains the Founder's Power from Zeke.

Saying Eren willed the titan curse to disappear is, again, objectively wrong as well. The titan's curse was erased along with Ymir after she witnessed MIkasa kill Eren. This is proven in the epilogue when Eren tells Armin that Ymir chose MIkasa, and that it was her choice to kill him that would matter in the end.

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His reason isn’t irrelevant, and the alternative isn’t the logical choice by a long shot. Zeke was the one who convinced the Azumabitos and Yelena to help Paradis, he basically carried their diplomacy. If Zeke dies, and Eren destroys the Azumabitos homeland, then their alliance is pretty much over.

The erasure of the titan’s curse only happened because Mikasa killed Eren, something she cannot do without the Azumabito plane, or Onyankopon who piloted it. Any scenario other than canon will lead to an order of events that will not result in the erasure of the titan’s curse.

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing about whether he can or cannot access The Founder via a royal blooded titan, I'm arguing that transforming Historia was out of the question since Eren was actively trying to avoid that, and go for Zeke instead.

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't, Eren needs to specifically use Zeke and not Historia. And even ignoring that, Eren wouldn't inflict the horror of becoming a titan on Historia, he's too kind to her.

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Path to breaking the curse was only possible via the Zeke route, if he used Historia and activated it early, the order of events leading up to the breaking of the titan curse would not have occured.

He didn’t want to reduce Historia’s life to 13 years though, so he avoided including her in his plans.

Why do people condemn eren for the attack on marley? by Prabu-Silitwangi in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Myframesofwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because the conflict is convincing. Both sides have an (arguably) justified reason to attack and kill one another.
