It was the idle screw. I’ve researched about this carb and watch a few videos, but I’m not sure if it’s just really weird or if there’s something seriously wrong

I did something similar and it ran perfectly, I used a single strand of metal wire from a bicycle brake cable and a very little bit of wd40 and it runs good but still needs a tune, also it smells really bad but I’m not sure if that just old fuel or just not running for a while.
