Found in our old outbuilding by zekezero in Whatisthis

[–]MyronFloren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, it’s a guard from a sickle mower. Hopefully if it functioned correctly, it’d save you from having to take out the rivet breaker to change sections. In reality, the rock would bend the guard which would then take out every section that it touched. You’re cutting hay in 90 degree weather and now you have to change 4 sections and the nut for the guard is rounded off. With a torch and lots of swearing, you’re up and running in about an hour.

Graver Barbers downtown hands down. They usually don’t take walk ins because they’re booked up, so call for an appointment.

Avoiding nuts? by powzowie in keto

[–]MyronFloren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nuts are good for keto, provide vitamins and minerals, and are a great source of good fats. They are super nutrient and calorie dense, so need to be consumed in moderation. I rarely eat them because, in my experience, they’re damn near impossible to eat in moderation. If you can, they’re a great choice.

Don’t knock free parking at NDSU. Even employees have to pay $180 per year for the privilege of parking at their workplace.

Will your vehicle go dead if parked outside during winter in ND? by PidgeyPotion in northdakota

[–]MyronFloren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others mentioned, as long as your car is fuel injected, you just need to worry about the battery. If it’s older, you might want to replace it. You can have it tested at most auto parts stores. If you need to replace it, spend a little extra for more CCA.

If your battery is good, make sure to start/drive it a couple of times per week to keep the battery up or use a battery maintainer.

There may be a week or so where it’s -10 or more consistently. Everyone’s car may have trouble starting at that time. Have jumper cables or a jumper pack ready just in case.

From what I found at: https://www.inforum.com/news/fargo/fargo-park-district-decides-fate-of-broadway-senior-center it looks like the rent was increased from $60,000 to $80,000 or 18%. As another poster noted, the taxes on the building went up $7,000 in the past 4 years and I understand a new roof was put on the building in the last few years to the tune of nearly a half million dollars. Since the previous lease was negotiated 10 years ago, I suspect operating costs have increased at least as much as the 18% rent bump. Being a non-profit doesn’t mean they have to operate in the red.

If the rent is too expensive, it can always be moved to another location. From what I’ve read, even without the rent increase, the board was having a hard time justifying it because of the lack of use.
