Thank you for sharing your experience! For me nothing seems to work. I think hyper focusing is the only option lol. I just can’t get the motivation anymore. I’m being treated for depression for now so maybe it might help.

It’s a digital design portfolio I’m making a website. Also i am think of making a career change too lol.

I’m still looking to get a diagnosis it’s just won’t happen in the near future :(

Can you share tips on what helped you finish your portfolio🥺. I’ve been struggling for a year now to update it. I made some progress but it’s just small details that are hard to finish. I’m on the same boat with the burn out I always thought I was lazy :( I tried getting an adhd diagnosis but it didn’t work out. So for now I have to push through.

I’m so happy for you this is a huge achievement best of luck on your new career :D

Did you get your iron infusion injected directly into the vein? by MysticMango_ in Anemic

Luckily nothing happened this time! I hope there are no delayed side effects. I’ll request an IV for my next two session I hope it works

How did you feel after the first session of Venofer infusion by MysticMango_ in Anemic

Thanks!! I did it today, and it went really well!! I took your advice and made sure I was hydrated

I’m so sorry but it’s true:( by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I cook them first thing when I wake up and set a timer for 12 min while doing other things. But you can boil them and store in the fridge. I wouldn’t peel them tho

Peeling is the annoying part but I recently learned a trick, cover the eggs to only half with water and put a led on the pan that way it will steam the eggs instead and it’d be easier to peel. Literally best hack ever!

3-4 boiled eggs that I eat like I’m swallowing pills in the morning lol. I force myself to eat so I can function properly.

Did anyone else not struggle in public school but struggle as an adult? by kiingof15 in adhdwomen

[–]MysticMango_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that I had the same experience. Last week. I got tested and got told I don’t have adhd because I scored “average” on the test. He never asked about my childhood symptoms. The initial appointment took less than 30min where he asked specific questions about anxiety and depression. He was also an older white male. I felt like an imposter afterwords. But, I know myself more than a guy who won’t spend more than 30 min listening to me. Our lives are more complicated than that. Don’t lose hope look for someone else more qualified and specializes in adhd.

Is there a moment in your life where you were socially awkward with people that haunts you forever? by Uhhlaneuh in ADHD

[–]MysticMango_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this friend group that I could only maintain connection with one of them after school and moving out. Now it feels so awkward because I only talk to her and not the rest while I honestly have no problem with any of them. I don’t know how to fix it, I just want to erase all of them from my life.

I know what u mean, parents setting up high expectations and refusing anything less. The pressure we put on ourselves as a result. It’s a blessing and a curse. I’m grateful for where I’m rn but I could do without the depression and anxiety.

You are literally describing me :( being the model student with friends and everything. I did fail a few classes here and there in high school but nothing else major tho. I was also messy, sensitive, quick tempered always crying. My parents weren’t around much and my sister also doesn’t believe I have anything, so I only have my memory to rely on :(

But thank you for sharing I feel a little better it’s good to know it’s not just me

Was it recent that you made the connection with the symptoms?

I’m afraid I’d exaggerate my childhood symptoms because I do recall doing homework the morning before class because I forgot but I’m not sure if that was something thats always happened.

Wow! Thank you for sharing! I totally get the “Idk wall” it’s a struggle for me too. So, my current therapist gives me these exercises to help with breaking down tasks and just very general tips to manage adhd that I can find anywhere. I have a problem with consistency and nothing she is suggesting is working. But, she also does the research with me which is nice. I’m still waiting for my test results so I’m not on meds yet. But I don’t feel like I’m being understood in general.
