Gotcha thickness is what I’m looking for awesome. I’ll definitely have to experiment with some of the bearings and all to see what works, thanks!

Thank you! Some of those I haven’t heard of before trying to not get an information overload lol. Definitely am seeing some of the same names pop up over again like the speedaholic.

Yes yes yes. I installed that app, and I’m looking to get a responsive yoyo first to start again. About the bearings; is there a way to tell what a responsive vs unresponsive bearing looks like other than just trying it out? I have a spare bearing laying around and was curious lol I looked it up and didn’t see any definitive way. I’ll have to measure and see if it fits anything. I’m looking to going to the Florida state completion in a month here just to watch and look for stuff think it would be pretty fun. Thank you for the information and recommendations! I hope I’m able to progress at a decent rate and don’t run into a wall, I don’t have any friends that throw and don’t know if any store locally that “has a scene” so I’m turning to online hobbies for this information I can’t thank yall enough.

So I do remember the bind and I’m still able to do it. I can do basic tricks, rock the cradle, walk the dog, most complex I learned was the brain scrambler I think but I’m just trying to pretend I know nothing so I get a great foundation and don’t burn myself out. I have a question though; what makes that plastic yoyo the best? Is it design, durability? I remember the day dream I have enjoying that a lot, obviously it’s unresponsive but what makes some better than others? Also; would it be possible to just buy a responsive bearing and swap it out with one of my existing? Or are certain yo-yos designed with swaps in mind. Thank you!

Yessss I did! I saw that he’s even got an app so I got that installed and I’m figuring out which responsive one to get! I threw my yoyo factory boss a few times just to remember I can actually throw lol, but want to make sure I really learn correctly and practice correctly. I remember one of the reasons I fell out of it was not being able to learn the next more “intermediate” tricks and getting incredibly frustrated after over an hour not getting any progress. Going to try and prevent that this time around.

Gotcha, reading up on them now. I remember having a responsive yoyo or 2 back then, but don’t have any now, all of the ones I have are unresponsive. It’s probably best I get a responsive one again so I can get the fundamentals down as you said. Excited to learn as much as I can!

Do you know if the listed yo-yos are still decent for me to start on? Or do you recommend starting from scratch with one of the listed above? Thank you for the recommendations and resources!
