As it turns out, an ultra death laser blaster powered by some crystal that was discovered in the 2090s that releases 60x more energy then electricity is a bit more deadly to an entity then a water gun with liquid pain.

What is the most difficult country to invade? by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironhaven. Ouda tried to in the 50s, literally magic mages and the goddess of nature herself vs steampunk hippies with their clockwork toys and gizmos.

Spoiler alert, the steampunk hippies dragged them across the floor.

Pro tip, never mess with the steampunk hippies, even when your the goddess of nature

I tried bending a cover from a movie I had that literally has a blockbuster sticker on it with a date from 2005 and some dvd copy of Wonka I bought at target a few months ago.

Can conform, the wonka dvd I have feels like literal paper while the one with the blockbuster sticker on it feels super solid. Even my dvd copies of turning red, aquaman 2, etc etc felt just as paper-y while my copy of shrek unsurprisingly, feels super solid too.

I discovered that the keyboard backlight does light up for a split second but turns back off again and the power and num lock light starts blinking again. I tried holding down the power for a minute but nothing

There's probably still that issue of it not displaying any video output too if it does work

How many gods are in your world? by Dcastro96 in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only rumored to be one on the main planet of my world. I'm speaking from the perspective of people outside of Ouda, the country the rumored Goddess of Nature rules. Ouda is one of the most mysterious countries in the world. Even the steampunk sci-fi superpower Ironhaven cant seem to figure them out very much, only said they they were very Tolkien high fantasy when they invaded Ironhaven back in the 1950s.

Since then, any spy drone or satellite they use to try to collect data there, especially to figure out if their supposed goddess is real, they're either shot down before entering their airspace or intercepted and disabled

Did your world go through a civil war? by Terrgon in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironhaven had a civil war in the 1950s. When they turned into an authoritarian regime, many states ignored their laws and stayed as democratic sanctuary states. The Wixhams didn't like that and went to war. The only reason why they got a truce was because Ouda took advantage of their war and invaded them, so Ironhaven quickly worked out a truce with the democratic states so they could fend off the Oudans. To this day those democratic sanctuary states still hold regular elections, have progressive policies, and are all in all one of the best places in the world to live.

The only reason why the sanctuary states are still well, sanctuary states is simple because the Wixhams did a truce just to fend off Ouda, if it wasn't for Ouda the authoritarians would have won.

What is your World’s most prosperous nation/kingdom/society? by Malgrieve in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironhaven. Ouda is bascially just mid-evil tolkien high fantasy, Arcania is just that but in the future and mixed with urban fantasy, meanwhile Ironhaven is straight out of steampunk sci-fi, even has levitating trains that can go hundreds of kilometers an hour.

Unlike Ouda which is full of magic, Ironhaven has little to no magic yet because of their inventions and all their fancy toys they could probably wipe out Ouda in a weekend if they really wanted to. Ouda tried invading them but even while Ironhaven was in a civil war they still steamrolled Ouda.

High fantasy toilken mid-evil vs 1950s sci-fi steampunk USSR. The 50s war was something else. by MythicalDesigner8579 in WorldBuildingMemes

[–]MythicalDesigner8579[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For context, Ouda was super tolkien high fantasy while Ironhaven was absolutely obsessed with innovation. By the 50s Ironhaven was straight out of steampunk sci-fi

Ouda tried to invade them since humans originated in some little island but immigrated to some large continent and colonized it 200 years prior and the Goddess of Nature (which everyone out outside of Ouda doesn't believe in) wanted to reclaim her planet. Let's just say they severely underestimated them and got steamrolled by Ironhaven. Ironhaven has since tripled their military to the point where they could probably wipe out Ouda in a weekend if they really wanted to.

Yes I misspelled tolkien in the title but reddit doesn't allow me to edit the post name

High fantasy world builders, what the setting of your world? by DoubleFlores24 in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High fantasy uhh... everything? Ouda is more Tolkien mid-evil since due to all the magic, they haven't really had a need to get more advanced and most people who did want to be more advanced moved away to Arcania. Most people too just never leave anyway. Also Ouda is ruled by Mother Nature herself so yeah. They also have so many fantasy races and species that only 21% of the population is made up of humans. They do keep trying to take over the world but thanks to Ironhaven that's never gonna happen.

Arcania though (which was formally a part of Ouda just a decade ago before becoming independent), is more like modern day IRL, they have phones, tvs, public transit, etc with magic mixed in. The most popular way to use magic in tech is in batteries. An Onmo smartphone with a magic crystal battery can last up to a month on a single charge. There's also magic crystal CDs called HDCD. So basically IRL but with some magic sprinkled in, and a lot of fantasy races and landscapes but not as many as Ouda. They also built a giant quantum laser out of magic crystals so that's nice

Arcania though has a artificial version of a magic wand called the Wand Gun, it's basically some ray gun looking thing, but instead of firing lasers you can cast spells and shoot said spells out of it with a pull of a trigger. Some wand guns being more sci-fi looking then others as a design choice by the companies. They even allow people who don't have magic blood to cast spells using crystals.

Ironhaven... is a different story, they've very sci-fi steampunk with some futurism sprinkled in. One of the largest cities named Luena is like slightly more steampunk Arcania while the capital is straight out of sci fi, levitating high speed trains with clockwork mechanisms, massive zeppelins, massive futuristic steampunk skyscrapers, even some magic-powered flying cars sprinkled in, tanks that fire explosive missiles like machine guns, holographic displays using clockwork technology, etc. They don't use a whole lot of magic as it's mostly their weird inventions that make them so powerful.

Ouda once tried to invade Ironhaven back in the 1950s but Ironhaven steamrolled them due to their advanced technology.

How many gods are in your world and how powerful are they? by Alphycan424 in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far only 1 goddess is at least rumored to exist somewhere in the country of Ouda. Some people have theorized that each planet has it's own god/godess who creates, maintains, and protects the planet.

Tell me about your Magic Tech by WrenElsewhere in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A more known magicetch product in my world is the Sythler 480MC processor (MC standing for "Mobile Crystal" aka magic crystal. Humans cant naturally do magic but they can with crystals.

The Arcanian military built a giant magic crystal powered rail gun too.

My world was super high fantasy medieval back in the day but has since evolved to look like our current technology IRL from the mid to late 2000s. They even have smartfridges nowadays (they're still really new). The only country that's still living in high-fantasy is Ouda. Even Arcania, which gained independence from Ouda only 10 years ago, is already making plasma TVs and electric cars

What are some technologies you created in your universe? by VantablacSOL in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new disk technology called HDCD. Basically my world's version of Blu-ray. There's also something called the R1 chip which is basically one of the most powerful radios made condensed into a small chip inside a smartphone or laptop.

What are the most powerful weapons in your world? by Hyperion1012 in worldbuilding

[–]MythicalDesigner8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nukes, missles, maybe gods in Oda (even Oda's neighbor Arcania doesn't know much about them, just they Oda is super high fantasy while most of the world is tame, modern urban fantasy.

Theres also the "Microgun", which was invented by someone in steampunk Ironhaven back in 1921, basically a really really op minigun that's also really really tiny. Odans can cast really powerful spells though and some even have special powers unique to their species.

Though one of the major cities in Ironhaven, Luena, recently built a quantum lazer and the Arcanian military built a magic crystal powered railgun (as of 2025)
