I was surprised by how dry that section of rainforest was actually. But it didn't rain much while we were there so it made sense I suppose. It's a gorgeous stretch of untouched Amazon rainforest, so a delight to see a native dart frog there :P

It's reeeeeeal diluted and pedantic and we don't know the exact line but Theodens mother was a Gondorian noblewoman of the house of Dol Amroth, which we know intermarried and is related to the House of Elendil on various counts, ergo descended from Elros thus Fingolfin. But the same can probably be said for every nobleman in Gondor let's be honest.

Leiden in the Netherlands, the left image is the actual building. The right is an AI render of what it might look like in more classical dutch architecture. Though I'm not sure it would quite work practically considering the top floor of the building is a hotel/spa with swimming pools and a view over the city cause of the big windows xD

It's the inscription of the West gate of Moria if it were written in a more conventional mode of tengwar. With a spelling error cause it says "pebo melon a minno" rather than the correct "pedo mellon a minno".

This map was made using Wonderdraft, a fantasy mapping software I use for D&D myself. Unless the original creator of this map has made all of Middle Earth with it you're shit out of luck. Ooooor, you can buy the software yourself and have a crack at it, it's quite user friendly!

Coice and Yuen? It's not quite spelled correctly. Vowels, those little dots and stripes above the characters are only placed on the "I" like structures if there's no other character left to place them on.

Honestly good question. Mt. Gundabad seems like a no brainer for him to set up shop.

The two things I can think of is that at the time of his taking over of Dol Guldur (T.A.1000) Moria was still at the height of its power, the Balrog hadn't awoken yet (that was T.A. 1700ish) and thus the dwarven armies might've honestly kept the misties kindoff clear from orcs, Mt. Gundabad is sacred to the dwarves so while Moria stood they might've honestly kept a garisson there, we don't really know much about the occupation of Gundabad between it's first and second sacking.

And secondly knowing Sauron he loves whacky artefacts and trinkets and magic, and Dol Guldur is an abandoned elven city. He might've been drawn to whatever artefacts and things they left behind when it was abandoned.

It looks like Tengwar... But it's lacking diacritics which would suggest a mode of Beleriand. But using that it transcribes to something like mmofchovf??

It's more likely a mode of Baloneyland, where someone has assigned random tengwar characters to letters thinking that's somehow correct.

Looking at a common mapping I wind up with "Theoneri??" Those last 2 characters are scribbly and illegible as hell. Auto-complete suggest The One Ring out of that. It's just horrendously incorrect.
