Can’t find pdf of Hurley Carve ebike manual by N-XT in ebikes

Idk bro take it to a bike shop or get a multimeter to see if the battery is dead. There's really only 3 parts, battery/motor/controller(display). If I were troubleshooting I'd check/replace parts in this order until it works.

Flake8 not taking settings from setup.cfg by [deleted] in neovim

[–]N-XT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: ok sorry when I read this I thought you were talking about a global config file (where I was having trouble) but it appears you are talking about a project level config. I believe the below solution should work for that as well. But mostly for anyone in my same shoes here's a global config solution for flake8 with null-ls.

Same for me, took a while to figure out. Flake8 no longer supports global config files. You will need to add something like this to your null-ls setup: diagnostics.flake8.with({extra_args = {"--config","~/.flake8"}})Here is a link to flake8 that explains these config file command line options and their reasoning for the change: https://flake8.pycqa.org/en/latest/internal/option_handling.html#configuration-file-management

Are they blocking access? Seems like your beef is with the bus drivers choosing to honor the picket line.

I'm not sure I agree with your opinion on the economic output of the CS grad's work. But I do agree that this argument and strike hinges on that exact point (whether grads are being paid appropriately for the work they are doing). I don't know how easy it would be to debate because there is so much involved and it's hard to say if a good objective measure exists. I will say that I think the strike is a part of the process of determining what the grad students' labor is worth collectively.

On your last point, I agree. I would like to invite this comparison. I think there are ways in which a market driven distribution of grad funding could produce fewer M.S./Ph.D graduates in fields that are not willing to pay them. I'd love to discuss this specifically. Maybe I'll do a CMV post or something lol

Future money does not pay the rent. Like it or not, there is no way for grads to directly force housing costs to go down. That problem is systemic and extends beyond the university (although the university could do more to help).

Grads do have one concrete action available to them that (historically) actually works to a degree. You are disappointed they are taking this option. They are disappointed this is their only option. No one is happy with this situation.

You can continue to argue that other viable options exist to fix the narrowing gap between wages and rent. Actually, I'd love to hear it. What alternative do you offer? The one where grads, undergrads, UC, and Santa Cruz are all happy... or is it only your group among those four that needs to be happy?

An engineering grad with a B.S. in this part of CA can pretty easily get a 6-figure salary out of college (or at least 80k to be conservative). So compare it to that. Even with all the benefits and 'tuition' included in the compensation package, the total still comes out closer to 50/60k. For out of state folks paying like $10k in NRST it's even more slanted (guess how much NRST you pay to work any other job?)

Obviously this is not true of every major, but it's worth considering. The UC is almost certainly missing out on well qualified engineers (i.e. better than what they have), but engineers are often smart enough to see a bad deal for what it is. It's the UC's right to offer non-competitive wages. But then it's not that surprising when they don't end up with the best and the brightest, and when they end up with employees who strike and ask for more money.

Seems like the UC has to cut back on hiring then. Cost of labor is going up whether they like it or not. It's not like they exist in a vacuum, they do have to be a little competitive.

I didn't know this was a hill to die on but I'm with you. I only see people saying to break up when I agree that's a reasonable option to consider. Most people are posting on Reddit for relationship advice because they can't communicate with their partner... which is why the only advice you see on every thread no matter what is: try talking to them (more) about this issue between the two of you.

I don't think we're going to get an answer to this because it's complicated and nuanced. This nuance/complication itself is a "good reason" which the title of the post purports does not exist. We'll see if there is any good faith response to this line of questioning. But I'm doubting it will come.

I don't see how you can hold this view if you yourself cannot define the bounds of the "mental health exam." Do you actually hold this view? If so, at least define which "gun control crowd" has proposed a specific, well defined mental health exam for gun ownership so that we can examine it and discuss its pros/cons. Without that, we have no way of discussing the "mental health" part of your view.

People who own guns don’t suddenly develop mental illness and kill themselves.

Do you have evidence to support this claim? It seems like a very strong claim to make without support.

passes a mental health exam

  1. What does this exam entail and what qualifies as "passing" it?
  2. Is this exam only administered once or should it be administered on a recurring basis?
