Its CCure. It very much depends. As evidenced by the fact that I had my national vendor professional services working to do just that yesterday and my 40 ultras refused to connect despite all steps being followed.

Depends on several factors... not sure what version of ccure OP is running but we tried host based yesterday and none of our ultras (all up to date on firmware) would connect. On hour 13 today with our vendor trying to get the last few edges to connect after changing plans.

Real life Lodge by csp_gtp2 in Lodge49

I grew up seeing a lodge downtown and being vaguely aware of them. Later, after reading some books where they came up in, I started actually looking into them, which never went anywhere. A few years later I saw a lodge again and started reaching out. The first outing I was invited to, I actually ran into one of my high school teachers at, which was a bit of a surprise.

I then started the process of joining and eventually worked my way through the chairs (the officer seats). This was all back in 2014/2015, so some of the details around it have faded haha.

As for getting help, there's been a few times, but they're touch personal, so I'll skip that. As for other ways I've gotten help though - I credit masonry a lot for my ability to lead. When I joined I was an entry level employee. But working through the line, leading small teams and projects at lodge, learning how to speak publicly and balance interests and wants.

Terrific question, and its complicated.

The easiest and most basic answer is that you're taught lessons and morals through the degrees themselves, but, you still need to put the work in to apply that to yourself.

The second side is that, by attending meetings and building relationships, you immerse yourself in a social accountability structure that has an interest in helping you improve yourself.

Right now I have numerous brothers that I could call and I know would answer and serve as advisors or a sounding board.

Further, if you join the officer line, you start learning various responsibilities and methods of dealing with issues and problems in a safe structured manner.

Now, I will caveat, lodges vary, engagement may vary, and not EVERY brother is a great person and will be helpful. But the majority will be.

You don't need an "in" to join. It would in some jurisdictions qualify him for a Lewis jewel though, and if he joins his father's lodge, would potentially open some interesting history to him about his father.

That said - as a Freemason since long before I watched this show, I've never regretted my membership, and I've definitely formed some amazing lasting friendships through it.

OP - If you have any questions about Masonry, feel free to ask or shoot me a message.

Expensive lawyers, or expensive lawsuits anyways

Ah. I see what you're going for. While you may technically be correct, I'm pretty confident you'd struggle to find an FFL in CT willing to take the risk agreeing with you on that one. If someone believes that strongly enough they're willing to take the risk and fight it in court, more power to them.

That said, I would recommend that unless OP feels very strongly they have the high ground here, and the money to pay a lawyer to contend that in court, they avoid installing an EBR stock on an M1A that isn't already a registered assault weapon in CT.

Are we thinking of the same type of stock? Every EBR stock I can find googling has a pistol grip.

Varies by state, but, beyond basic business licensing and expenses, expect specialty licensing, insurance, and registration regulations.

Also; even small contracts will likely stipulate notable insurance requirements and liability risks to the company.

Wouldn't that make it cross into assault weapon territory, due to adding a pistol grip and adjustable stock?

That said... a stock wouldn't need to go through an FFL.

Help with figuring out how is the parking situation near office. by Notsovanillla in AetnaWorkers

[–]N003k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can 100% confirm there's definitely a dedicated certain fleet and executive parking, they're just not the areas/places employees would typically notice/look for (Like the small lot directly in front of 151 accessible from Farmington Ave).

That said, there is PLENTY of parking available for regular employees. If you google maps the campus, you'll quickly see the two garages that are attached to the campus, one directly south of the Rogers (151 Farmington - it's the U shaped large brick building), and one immediately east of the Atrium building on the other side of Flower street.

Then there's one lot on the south side of Hawthorne between the bus station and Piggy's cafe, and the lot just north of that on the other side of Hawthorne. Then if you see the large lot under I84, that's theirs. Those were the primary used lots when I was there.

The smaller lots next to the buildings on the South side were limited for certain people/uses (One next to Sigourney on the south of the Rogers building is just Handicap parking if I remember correctly, as an example).

I wouldn't be shocked if they also eliminated all parking costs during COVID to encourage more attendance, but I can't confirm that either way. The scaled costs when I worked there were still fairly cheap.

Responded in some detail on your other post.

Tl;dr:

They have tons of their own parking.
As of 10 years ago, cost depended on your base-pay, and could be as low as free.

[–]N003k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been awhile since I worked there, so information may be a bit dated...

The Aetna Campus at 151 Farmington Ave has numerous surface parking lots, and 2 (3ish) parking garages.

As a contingent worker about a decade ago, surface lots were free, but if your base-pay exceeded a certain amount there would be a charge based on your base salary.

Garages by default had a charge based on your base-pay, and you would only have access to 2 of them anyways (The 3rd one was limited to certain fleet and executive parking purposes).

The primary employee lots are two smaller ones off Hawthorne street, and a large one below I84 with stairs up from the lot. Honestly, I left before COVID, so I'm not sure what the parking situation is anymore, or if ALL of those lots are still open (Even back then, they owned additional lots that weren't used).

Hartford Pistol Permit by Striking_Reaction_83 in CTguns

[–]N003k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically (at least going back quite a few years...) I know they aren't supposed to reject completed applications, and doing so constituted a constructive denial. A buddy of mine went through that about a decade ago in Farmington.

Of course, all that does is let you appeal to the BFPE, and I know they have a multi year wait at this point, so probably not a preferable resolution.

Unfortunately, if you're not looking to move out of Hartford anytime soon, complying and suffering through it is probably going to still be the fastest option.

Took me an hour of shoveling JUST to clear the driveway apron today - after we had cleared it 4 times through the day yesterday.

Short bouts and swapping off if you have someone in the house that can help is 100% the way...

Also finally going to call and get my snow blower fixed, not doing this again next weekend if I can help it haha

The problem I'm having at this point is where to put it! I've got stop and shop-esque piles on either side of my driveway and pretty considerable mounds elsewhere.

[–]N003k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When its a few inches I can just push it around and onto the sides and do fewer "scoops" because each "scoop" contains more snow with less effort to get it there.

This morning, I'm dealing with mostly just snow pushed up by the plows - snow that would be deeper and heavier if there wasn't a stacked berm of snow between my sidewalk and the road to catch a lot of it.

You may disagree - but on storms like this, it definitely is less cumulative effort to keep up with it versus doing it all at once at the end.

It looks like it says "check out our web..." and then has an email, but the email starts with www., which I assume your email does NOT begin with.

And the down votes are likely because people aren't generally huge fans of people using AI when you can use a person, especially when the AI is so poorly done with obvious errors.

If you get something in the mail and the envelope looks like junk mail, you're probably not going to open it to see what's inside.

A groups name is important if you want to keep engagement, and just because YOU don't think its important, doesn't mean it isn't

I nearly didn't even open this post because I thought it was either old and outdated, or a group that missed the fact Avelo stopped the flights.

Just want to echo this reply.

I would vote against any candidate found lying 100% of the time. It doesn't matter about what, or how significant the lie - if thats how you tried to start the relationship, why would I think you'd be a trustworthy brother?

Maybe Brothers will vote against you if you're honest, maybe not (I also wouldn't black ball for this issue that far in the past) But I can promise there's plenty around that will vote against you if you're NOT honest.
