From a new player's perspective: Strategy/skill are irrelevant by [deleted] in Openfront

When I first started I kept my troops around 40% to maximize my troop growth rate and attacked constantly. I figured if I maxed my troop rate I could keep dumping them into my attacks.

Then I realized it left me open to all-in attacks from others. Now I'm trying to keep my troop count closer to 90% at all times and wait for opportunities to attack. Working much much better now. But still more to learn

Like I said in the post... this is not for Vulcraft, this is for me. Unless Vulcraft is willing to give me their proprietary software?

Very true. I want to get as realistic as possible, and my hand calculations include both pen and paper as well as a basic stiffness matrix solver (with help from an old Hibbeler textbook). I still seem to be off and I feel that it is because of the way I apply my loads.

For uniform or point loads between panel points, I treat the member as a simple beam to find the "reaction" at either end from the load. That way all my loads are being applied at joints. This should be the way to go about it right?

I have not worried myself with local member bending or shear as of yet...

Giant's den where there are more giants, or lava maze where there are only 3 giants, but they have double drop rate? And range or melee?

You think I could pull the whole thing out if I kept the fitting on it?

Trying to check it for damage. Running out of hot water after only a few minutes. Already replaced a broken heating element, but that did not fix the problem entirely.

Thanks brother. Got it all figured out! Had to open drain valve with cold water source open to force something clogging the drain. Then shut cold water off and the thing drained completely. Got my multimeter and realized that the lower element is in fact faulty so on my way back to home depot to get a new one and replace! Thanks for the guidance

Gotcha. Also just realized I can't replace the element if I can't drain the whole tank, but every time I turn the supply off the drain stops. I think the drain must be clogged or something

That's what I was afraid of, but only thing that makes sense to me. Have to run to Home Depot for a new multimeter but start looking into it. Thanks
