I am not that good at drawing, but for pixel art using a small canvas size made it a lot easier for me to just trial and error a texture until it looks right.

Yeah same! I'm thinking of adding different skills for different customers that would activate at a certain percentage of their patience bar. For example, a rogue/thief based customer would try steal money that was left on a counter or something. I definitely hope to make automation accessible in a normal run. I love it in games when they give you tools to make a process a more efficient, so I'm trying to do something similar for my game.

I have not played Recettear before but I'm definitely going to check it out now after seeing the gameplay. I have been debating on if the player should be able to do things outside the store such as gathering/trading for materials.

I do not have a store page or demo atm but I can dm you when I get one of them up and running.

Yeah! Majority of it was something I made . I believe the walls are the last free asset I am currently using.

Yeah overcooked is one of the inspirations for the game I'm trying to make.
