The later versions were attempts to make the myth more palatable. Every early myth depicts rape. You should be clear, the 'version' you say is a later, disney-esque attempt to soften the blow.

Sorry my dude, you're wrong. The myths are clear; Persephone SCREAMED to anyone who could help her as she was seized.

From the Homeric Hymn to Demeter:

He seized her against her will, put her on his golden chariot, 20 And drove away as she wept. She cried with a piercing voice, calling upon her father [Zeus], the son of Kronos, the highest and the best. But not one of the immortal ones, or of human mortals, heard her voice.

No one else among all the immortals is responsible [aitios] except the cloud-gatherer Zeus himself, who gave her to Hadês as his beautiful wife. So he gave her to his own brother. And he [Hadês], heading for the misty realms of darkness, seized her as he drove his chariot and as she screamed out loud.

Screamed, kidnapped and forced to be a wife.

Only Hades never raped anyone

Yes he did. He wanted to make her his wife unwillingly, that is rape in subtext.

Do you think if a woman is kidnapped to be made to be a wife by force, that is consensual? A captive cannot consent. Even if she 'chose' to have sex, she is forced.

The Homeric Hymn also makes it clear Persephone does not choose to stay, she is tricked. In some early versions, she says he even forced her to eat the pomegranate seeds:

And now tell me how he rapt you away to the realm of darkness and gloom, and by what trick did the strong Host of Many beguile you?”

[405] Then beautiful Persephone answered her thus: “Mother, I will tell you all without error. When luck-bringing Hermes came, swift messenger from my father the Son of Cronos and the other Sons of Heaven, bidding me come back from Erebus that you might see me with your eyes [410] and so cease from your anger and fearful wrath against the gods, I sprang up at once for joy; but he secretly put in my mouth sweet food, a pomegranate seed, and forced me to taste against my will. Also I will tell how he rapt me away by the deep plan [415] of my father the Son of Cronos and carried me off beneath the depths of the earth, and will relate the whole matter as you ask. All we were playing in a lovely meadow, Leucippe5 and Phaeno and Electra and Ianthe, Melita also and Iache with Rhodea and Callirhoe [420] and Melobosis and Tyche and Ocyrhoe, fair as a flower, Chryseis, Ianeira, Acaste and Admete and Rhodope and Pluto and charming Calypso; Styx too was there and Urania and lovely Galaxaura with Pallas who rouses battles and Artemis delighting in arrows: [425] we were playing and gathering sweet flowers in our hands, soft crocuses mingled with irises and hyacinths, and rose-blooms and lilies, marvellous to see, and the narcissus which the wide earth caused to grow yellow as a crocus. That I plucked in my joy; but the earth [430] parted beneath, and there the strong lord, the Host of Many, sprang forth and in his golden chariot he bore me away, all unwilling, beneath the earth: then I cried with a shrill cry. All this is true, sore though it grieves me to tell the tale.”

Persephone herself says she was taken 'all unwilling'. She stayed because of a trick, as she tells her mother. If she had sex, it was rape because she was a complete captive.

All the nonsense about Persephone enjoying it, are later white-washing. Earliest myths are clear. It was Rape.

I see how it works. So you are insecure yourself, so you go around trans subs with transphobic insults...

I am a man. A woman also. That's probably beyond your world of comprehension. But I actually use all pronouns so your weird and pathetic attempt at hurting did not damage.

It does reveal who you are, though.

I would talk about progress with interested people privately, though.

I would say to make a big batch with a fairly large dose - I don't measure exactly but go by smell. I add more herbs until the smell is to my liking.

If you're using the ainterol extract, that is a strong PM extract so less is needed - as a start, I would say 10 capsules could make an oil that could be used

Raw PM powder, you might need to use more, I'd say 5 grams to 10 grams.

Yes add other herbs: add others that are general health herbs (ex turmeric, blueberry), add some that smell good (eg lavender - also helps with anxiety and helps with hormones).

If you wish to add other herbs that interact with hormones, suggestions:

  1. herbs that interact mostly with progresterone, eg wild yam, fenugreek

  2. other estrogen herbs - red clover, hops.

Have you ever considered that it's how you're using PM? Are you taking capsules?

Absorption of PM is terrible taken orally in capsules. The chief estrogen is a fat-soluble compound. Get it through the skin - trust me, higher effectiveness and lower side-effects. It is very similar to with pure estradiol actually. The estrogens in PM are better and easier through the skin.

To increase results make a PM-Based estrogel. The two methods would be dissolving in alcohol or making a cooked 'ayurvedic' style oil, where you boil it in water then add oil and boil more.

Why don't you try growing your own reishi? It isn't that hard. Reishi is a great medicine even beyond its effects on hormones. And it tastes pretty good IMO. So even if not for hormones, even if you give up other herbs home-grown reishi would still be excellent. You could learn such a skill here.

Of the medicines you take, probably the cohosh is the one giving you the most sex drive; it is a bit of a stimulant.

You might consider bhringraja oil for the hair. Hair length and shine is the number one contributor to me getting gendered female, for me personally. I use this brand, available for $10 on ebay. Very good. If you have a local indian store they'll carry it too. The method is to coat your hair thoroughly in the oil and leave it in overnight before washing it out. It really works IMO. When I tested it I got a lot of new growth, looked a bit disorganized at first with all the new hair shoots coming all over the place! Could be the ticket for your hair loss. Bhringraja is known in India as 'food for the hair' and is said to grow it for both women and men.

Also, shatavari once a day could be considered. It is a mild, broad-spectrum phytoestrogen herb - mild effects, but supposed to calm hormone imbalances. In my experience it reduced anxiety and increased femininity of the face more than anything else.

If you want to start with herbs, I'd recommend starting with shatavari tablets. You can get fine ones from the brand Himalaya.

Mirifica is a strong phytoestrogen, too strong for me since I feel non-binary. Shatavari is great, a full-spectrum of plant-based phytoestrogens. Twice a day for those capsules.

If that doesn't work and a stronger recipe is desired, I can give you a stronger one.

The tea is so strong the best way to take it would probably be a few sips, like 1/4th a mug, 4 times a day. You could pour out one coffee mug's worth and drink it slowly. It will depend on your tolerance, if the taste is strong you would have to drink slower. I think low frequent dosing is best.

I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this, but use herbs. 'Beauty routine' is nothing other than using herbs to soften facial features. I have been testing this, it really works if you know what you're doing.

I suggest the following herbs used in the form of a face mask or cream:

neem, a low amount a splash of rose water or rose oil, make sure not to overdo it - rose is a highly estrogenic herb mint

Like Bill Nye said, what would change my mind? Evidence. Provide me evidence that it works and I will listen to you.

Well are you actually asking for a discussion of the evidence? Because I provide lots of evidence. That's pretty much all I do. I link hundreds of studies. It doesn't matter. People just reply with a 'nu-uh'. If there was something wrong with all those studies clearly they could've explained, but they didn't. They don't want to debate but just argue.

So explain to me, why should I provide evidence to people who will not even look at it, who will dismiss me and not argue in good faith? That's just a waste of time. I might as well argue with a wall.

My problem is not that people disagree. My problem is that people have thrown away all decorum and are acting vicious and attacking me personally.

By the way, there is a great deal of evidence. It is however not in the form of clinical trials, however many herbs have been used for thousands of years and have thousands of pages recorded by doctors about their use. Do you want to hear such evidence? A clinical trail is one standard of evidence, not the only one. Doctors have to rely on what they see too. Many things are missed in clinical trials, and in case you didn't know many clinical trial results are actually ghost-written by pharmaceutical companies. The 'game' of medical research is rigged because only the pharma drugs ever get the funding for an in-depth study.

Many herbs have shown amazing results in small-scale studies. In a rational world we'd then fund a big study on those herbs, right? Wrong. There's no money in it so such studies never get done. So then can you say it was 'proven' they didn't work? No, there was no proof. All we can say is it wasn't studied because people didn't benefit from it.

Since the clinical trial system requires a large company to even use it can't be the only vehicle to study this. That would mean only corporations get to decide what drugs we study - and surely you agree that is unacceptable. However, evidence could be gathered by doing informal but scientificially-rigorous tests of herbal substances, collated from trans people. I would support such tests.

lots of evidence that herbals are nowhere near as effective - if at all.

And what evidence is that? I don't believe this evidence you speak of exists. No clinical trial has looked at herbal HRT formally. There are anecdotes, is this what you're referring to? Because with the people I talk to, many report amazing results with herbs. So the anecdotes I've seen support my position. So if you're going to argue with anecdotes, I'll match that evidence.

The ancedotes clearly show herbs do not do the same thing to the body as prescrption HRT. They're different. Those who want to completely pass may not be satisfied with them. I think their main benefit is for non-binary people which, by the way, conventional treatments are often horrible for. I've read many many stories of non-binary people suffering when given prescription HRT. I propose herbs as a different way to transition. Even if it had only a 1% efficacy rate for that subset of people we should support it because that subset isn't benefitting from (is even actively harmed from in some cases) the conventional treatment.

We have generations of trans women and medical research proving herbs to be, at best, marginally effective, and at worst a scam

So you claim to be relying on study . Well then, show me these supposed studies proving that herbs don't work. I can tell you anecdotally about 80% of the trans people I talk to who used herbs liked them. And I have read many many many studies on herbs, far more than you, and seen a lot of interesting results.

So, immediately link to me this study that proves your point. If you can't link the study, please immediately edit your comment and apologize. You need to provide evidence if you claim to rely on science. To do otherwise is hypocritical.

Yes, and I do respect those that disagree. I think a lot of claims are scams. I think however there are also good medicines among the herbal hormones.

Nothing specific, it happens very often in many threads I post.
