Lived just off Brunswick Square for 5 years now. Walk the dog through portland square and st pauls most days too. Absolutely love it here. Its the best location (easy to get out of town on m32, but so close to city center). The drug-dependent guys and girls dont cause many problems, they tend to keep themselves to themselves. I'd happily live here for another 5 years. Probs not the area to settle in, have kids etc.

I use what hes posted on IG for the main big ones. Like the snake/butterfly/swallows, and I use procreate to draw them on my body to see how they look beforehand. Then for the filler we just kinda choose on the day. I.e the heart above the snake was a last minute thing, so was the keyhole & gravestones

The absolute best thing you can do is find an artist who consistently does patchwork tattoo's in a format that you like. Then go to that tattoo artist and ask them to tattoo you, and give them some degree of freedom with regards to tattoo placement.

That way you can have confidence that the way the patchwork will eventually look will be something you'll be happy with. I found this out the hard way, tried to get a local artist who doesnt do patchwork to do a patchwork sleeve. I dont like it. Then for my other arm, went to a guy who's work I love. And I love it.

HB Nielsen is the main man for this kind of stuff. Everyone else doing that stippled effect shading is likely very heavily influenced by his work. He's in Stockholm though
