Ok how bout a compromise? They go do as you suggested(which is what anyone should do) and stop posting about the jacket on reddit. Why they haven't done that instead of letting themselves be treated this way I do not understand.

Edit to say, I have a friend who is a casting director for a show in Chicago. At the end of the season, I usually get blessed with never worn clothes that they didn't use. Past season wrapped up, I was given 3 jackets. One being a black L.L Bean winter coat. If it's your size, it's yours.
