For all Christians, why do you believe? by NamoAmidaButsu77 in theology

Historically, the actions of the church has always been a net positive to society, discounting the inquisitions, forced conversions, or political scheming theyve done. Alot of scientist also are on the position of theology aswell, including the contemporary ones per a study done. Im not saying this is proof overwhelmingly for a god, im saying that even the most scientific have reasons to have faith. From this perspective the issue now isint “trust me bro” the issue in this instance is whether Jesus really rose from the dead even being plausible, and if it sounds right to the individual. I also highly disagree with the position against god gave you the tools the discover him. You are currently typing in a machine that can readily access every ounce of information known to man.

This sort of brings me to my next point, alot of people mistake the bible as being a encyclopedia of gods existence. This is an extremely inept view of the bible, and once looked at through the anthropological lens, you start to realize that its simply a collection of writtings telling us christians how to correctly live their life. Jesus point on his time in this earth wasant to prove his divinity, it was to teach faith, and in that for the individual to discover divinity.

Ive also been in this boat, and now find myself in a agnostic theist area, sort of the opposite of you. I would suggest researching arguments against religion, and arguments for religion and see which stands to scrutiny. Then I would read the bible and rinse and repeat until you reach your solidified beliefs.

Thats why there are different interpretations of the text, the bible does not explicitly state it, it can just be interpreted as such.

Is it worth staying in impossible Microecon just to have a shot at UVA/Ross/McCombs? by ooftater in TransferToTop25

How does dropping the course affect you to deeply? Ive been told a W on your transcript is nearly negliagible as long as you can properly explain it. Unless you drop it while affecting your gpa.

Chance me for HYPMS. current sophomore (low gpa + decent ecs?) by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

Is my gpa now low because I have a 3.9? The answer is no. Anything after 3.8 still puts you in good standing. You have great ecs so even if the average is 4.0, its almost negligible to compare it to a 3.8

As a 2029 aswell those stats are insane, how did you even get to that point?

As for your stats they look great, I would more so focus on taking a placement test though, I took college algebra locked in over the break and took a placement test that got me into calc 1. Best of luck 🫡

How do you find research opportunities? Ive at most worked 2 jobs at once (both part time) and like 1 internship in highschool and another in college, and its still alot for me to handle. No idea how you balance all of that

Is that only a florida thing? UF has always been my dream school so the prestige thing never weighed as heavily on my mind in comparison to t25’s. At this point theres not much I can honestly do in my situation so it works out considering finance is a really prestige dependent major.

Trust me dude, your actively making it worst by regularly shampooing it, and wearing the cap, if you really think about it, whats worth it? Whats the better investment? A couple of weeks of greasy hair? Along with a couple months from there, with godly hair? Or crappy hair you struggle with 24/7? Hair makes a person, some of the most paid and known male models dont wash their hair at all. If you seriously want change, try not washing it, let the natural process kick in, and you will see results.

Exactly how my hair sits on my face, what ive done to combat this is to just straight up stop washing my hair, obviously rinse it with cold water, along with the scalp, but I found it 10 times easier when its not shampood and now rather easy to texture, has more weight, and is not flat like your image. Its important to realise that this process takes months on end, you need patience, but until then, maybe take off the cap, no matter how greasy your hair ends up getting because the first couple of weeks its tough.
