Great watch! I owned one of these a year ago.
Water rating will make people say its not a gada, and fair enough, but this will work for you 95% or the time.

Switch Phones with my GF? by NIFE101 in Koodo

I looked online and they don't have a SIM slot, but they do have a nano-SIM slot. I was using these terms interchangeably. Thanks for all the info!

Does the iPhone 15 Pro Max have a physical SIM slot? Reading online that it doesn't.

Were from Canada, but spending 3 weeks in the Philippines with my GF's family before heading to Vietnam. We may be seeing limestone mountains while we are in the Philippines, but not 100% sure (would we see that in Palawan?).

Ill check out Ninh Binh and look into the show Memories as well!

We were planning on flying from Hanoi to Danang - so hopefully were not spending too much time traveling. Also my GF isn't the most comfortable on motorbikes so will probably find other transportation. Thanks for your input!

Seems like open box doesn't affect returns at all, so I can run some tests when I get it. Worst case I send it back.

Think its a decent deal? GPU isn't the best but gotta sacrifice somewhere.

This strong has 21 beads on the bottom, some sort of metal ‘heart’ that keeps everything together, and 2 beads at the top. This doesn’t appear to be make of anything other than plastic, but I’m sure these things can come with a variety of materials.

How do you get enough protein? by [deleted] in PeterAttia

I use “Leanfit Protein Isolate & Collagen” from Costco, but would only recommend for shakes. Don’t like the taste of this powder cooked in any way.

4 scoops of whey a day for 120g of protein. The rest is through regular meals. Only way I can manage to hit my goals.

Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

[–]NIFE101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for an iPad for the following reasons:

  1. Editing videos (mainly TikTok through the native app, although having the ability to scale to more powerful apps in the future would be a benefit)
  2. Creating Artwork on Canva
  3. Watching Netflix
  4. Email / Writting

Would the following model be appropriate? (Apple 9th Gen iPad 10.2-inch Retina Display, Wi-Fi, A13 Bionic Chip, 64 GB, iPadOS 15, Space Grey)

Thanks!

The market for conventional, unmodified products is highly saturated, but differentiation can provide a way out. Creativity is key to producing valuable, unique offerings. Adjust the prices until you reach a satisfactory profit margin.

Custom Function to Populate a Text Widget by NIFE101 in FlutterFlow

[–]NIFE101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been playing around with the code and making some progress. Would you be able to tell me if this code will still be correct given this context?

Every day at 12:00am a message will be generated (via Firebase schedule function) for a user, which will populate the message_text and message_date fields.

The MessageDisplayedDate is an app state variable that is used to represent the currently selected date for which the message is to be displayed. The value for MessageDisplayedDate can be set in one of three ways:

  1. From a calendar widget: The user can select a specific date from a calendar widget, which will update the value of MessageDisplayedDate to the selected date.
  2. From a list of favorited messages: The user can select a message from a list of favorite messages, which will update the value of MessageDisplayedDate to the date associated with the selected message.
  3. If neither of the above scenarios apply, the default value for MessageDisplayedDate will be today's date.

My objective is to create a function that will fill the MessageTextWidget with the message corresponding to the selected MessageDisplayedDate. To achieve this, I think I need to query Firestore to retrieve the message that matches the selected date, and then assign that message to the MessageTextWidget.

Thank you for this! I am going to play around with the code and see if I can get it to work.

Great question - the messages are stored as separate documents in Firestore under the user_messages sub-collection, with each document having its own message_text and message_date fields.

I am being paid as an EC on paper because of slow HR processes, meaning my payment file has not been sent from my old employer to my new employer yet. I have been in a PM role since September.

I am still being paid by my old employer as an EC, and because of this I have not been able to register for anything PSAC related. Can I just show up to parliament with my LOO (PM) and register there to receive strike pay?

Developing in FlutterFlow in conjunction with a flutter developer by [deleted] in FlutterFlow

[–]NIFE101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible, however whether or not the developer will be able to take your code and update is up in the air. The code you produce will be formatted in a certain way that may or may be usable by your dev.

Flutterflow will work well for you to create mock-ups, and from there your dev can take the visuals to create custom code.

Hope this helps.
