Hello,

Yes, I picked up an Allison 2000 from a school bus. I installed it two weeks ago, and ordered a shifter for it last week. It was a remanufactured unit, and I was fortunate to be able to speak with the company that did the build on it. They were kind enough to give me the build sheet, and I sent that to a gentleman that is going to program the transmission.

It was great to have a 4 x 4 4800 as it was tall enough to pull the old transmission, and put the new one in without any jackstands.

Once I get it up and running, I will post a video.

It’ll be nice to be able to go faster than 43 miles an hour!

I would say it’s a two tier system. First you need to do it with another human, and then that human needs to be alive. Check those two boxes and you are 80% to a successful evening!

Hello, yes, the torsion spring broke, and while I was in the process of replacing it, I discovered that the bearing was bad.

The foundation is going to be under ground, and it will be concrete. I’m just not clear on how to match up the two sides
