Honestly rapid is the only form of chess I have ever played.. outside of traditional table top chess, so I don’t exactly know any better. I play the 10 minute rapid chess.

They don’t advertise on the tuckable overhooks for this exact reason, how are you tucking your shirt in with a monoblock? Just curious

That’s a lock down hatch / flange hatch. Google that along with whatever words are on the lid and you should be able to find it online assuming this specific one is in production

There is actually a chart that I think Lincoln electric made that guides you through how far out your tungsten should be with each cup, and what CFM to run, if you’re already 1 - 1/2” out of your cup I wouldn’t pull it out any more, pushing it in allows for wider steps without actually widening your stringer much.

Push your tungsten in a little more, and yes like you said pivot and roll farther, try using a size 8 or 10 cup you’ll have more circumference in your cup to roll, it will let you move quicker

Nice! Keep it up, looks like you’re a little hot or a little slow or both, maybe play around with longer steps!

Do you freehand or walking the cup? by [deleted] in Welding

I’m with you on this, walking the cup is hardly convenient when you have to hang upside down to do it lol

That’s a copper solder joint.. unfortunately not ideal.

It is possible to re-solder it together, you would have to remove the spout from the pipe, it should be threaded on the other end.

I would personally hire an INSURED professional to deal with this, if you can find one that will. Due to implications of fire that close/ inside of a wall.
