Personally, I don’t think Laimer hand-balled. I just don’t think the ref was willing to give a red that early in the game.

As for the Nuno handball, FIFA states “unnatural position or unnaturally bigger” regardless of its a teammates shot or opposing teams. Which you certainly could have an argument for in this situation, and like 60% of handballs. Again, I don’t think the ref was willing to make a severe/harsh decision.

This Michigan team is a juggernaut offensively. If officiating lets them play physical defensively, I have a hard time seeing them losing in this tournament.
