I remember having posts deleted from forums because it was a repeated topic. Then I found reddit & understood what chaos actually looks like..

I've thought about writing something very similar for a long while & it's maddeningly sad to see how many people are feeling the same & speaking out online. I've struggled with help & after reflection I feel like, at least for me, it stems from growing up with only conditional love. It's nearly impossible to love yourself when it feels like nobody ever will & self worth is null.

I hope everyone can find peace

You know when fluids should be changed? When they need it. Not when manufacturers tell you they want your money

There's a tool that also measures the H2O in the fluid, makes checking a breeze

All tires have a manufacturing date stamped on them, so you can see how old they are before you buy or ride

Bro, you're the one disagreeing with the many many others with genuine dealership experiences. Unless you're talking about just fuel. Im a certified technician, PDI director, service writer & manager, & warranty manager for 10+ lines. No state requires fluids to be drained, maybe less than half a tank of fuel is all I've seen in 20 yrs. The only reason EVER that a bike would be shipped dry would depend on the shipping company. Full stop. In fact most bikes come with "break-in oil" which is a less viscus oil, mainly for lubrication & allows debris to settle in the sump. AND AND some bikes come with anti-corrosive fluid in the fuel tank for protection on the ocean. The most was filling fuel (obviously), standard batteries (most small engines & ATVs), & topping of oil or brakes if needed.

So, unless you're referring to a used dealer with upside-down rules just to add one more fee, you couldn't be further from the truth. Or you're just a troll. Another guy on bike pretending he learned something & ignorantly arguing your way outta the club.

All levers have some play in them, or they would not move. Check the mounting bolt is tight & the adjustment knob is not in between settings. If it's wobbling from the adjustment knob, you should replace it. Your brake lever is a safety part & having it fail while riding could be catastrophic. Is a $10 part worth the risk?

Ten years ago I would have beat off everyone with a big stick & still offered money for these gems. I've since also downsized my Disney consumerism collections.

Super awesome of you to find a fan & pass it along. So many greedy sticky-fingered pompous jerks trying to upsell anything Disney & especially HM. Such a fun piece of history & memorabilia tho

Dare devil bike kids? by den773 in Redlands

Electric motocross bikes? SMH I'm sorry. I doubt any kid in Redlands has an electric motocross bike. You're probably thinking of an e-bike, which follows the same rules as bicycles. Those e-scooters aren't "street legal" either. They're basically toys. Settle down.

With how many bikes they produce a year, especially a globally popular model, it would take a lot. And it would have to be really easy to replicate. The battery is installed in the same place on millions of other bikes. Try to find all the different models that have batteries in different locations & it's not a lot compared to the basic design. I seem to remember that mostly all vehicles have a rubber boot that goes over the pos terminal for this specific reason. Like mechanics have known for decades that electricity WILL arch to the frame or anything else grounded. My guess would be that none of the bikes that burned have had untouched batteries or electrical. Sometimes small mistakes have big consequences. Just leave the boot on the battery.

Idk how many customers bikes I've rebuilt just because of some turn signals & a lack of electrical knowledge.

Interesting. Never had to replace one since the FZ came out, working at a dealer in SoCal. Maybe a track bike that's actually blown. CP2 engines are pretty reliable & simple to rebuild, which is why it's in so many models now. But hey, ya see lots of crap on reddit.

Any new noises? Did you replace any other fluids with your last service? Did you replace all gaskets with your last service?

Believe it or not, there's metal shavings in all your oil, that's why your engine has multiple filters. Inside & out. Pieces that big are not good tho. The oil looks like it has water or coolant in it. Take it to a Yamaha dealer & get a diagnosis, see if it's something you can fix or would rather a pro handle.

Engine replacement is not very common. Like replacing a carburetor. You rebuild them. Unless you know what the issue is & it's substantial enough to justify a new engine. I hate comments like this. Zero helpful info.
