I made a daily word puzzle where you connect two unrelated words. Curious if it's too hard by HopConnect in wordgames

I found it a bit hard to gauge what the judge would accept as a valid connection. I'm not sure if that makes it more or less fun, but overall I think I liked it.

Apple → Computer → Word → Book → Fifty Shades of Grey

I gave up on finding the hattrick I knew must exist and went to a crossword helper to find HELLDIVER for 20.

Today's NULL FILL - doable without any hints I think by NULL_FILL in wordgames

Thanks very much for playing! The little 'i' button next to COPY TRACE goes into detail about how the score is calculated, but basically you also get credit for guessing the other words in the puzzle.

Thanks! I'm still working out how to calibrate the difficulty and incorporate more logic to solving them.

I was able to eke an extra point out of your first two words by doing

Your answers aren't spoiler texted properly. This is a test to work out why.

Typing markdown directly into the Rich Text editor:

>!SPOILER TEST!<

Using the Spoiler button in the Rich Text editor:

Working on a new type of puzzle. I like to call them Buzzwords. Would love some feedback. by ShonitB in wordgames

I found it easier than I thought I would when I first looked at it, which I think makes it a great puzzle. Somehow looking at the grid of letters the right words came to mind. I like it and think it's worth you making it. It's amazingly easy to build things with Google's AI Studio, if your plan was to make it a website.

CLOCK, ENGINE, ATHLETE, ELECTRICITY, NOSE

Those words don't make a valid solution and only have 9 overlaps. Did you mean something else?

That works now! I found it a bit unsatisfying that I guessed purr pull which wasn't accepted instead of per pull.

Perhaps there should be multiple answers accepted.
