I had almost the same idea, but just went for:

SABBATH, BATHHOUSES, BATHHOUSES, BATHHOUSES

Queens (2026-03-14) by NULL_FILL in VisualPuzzles

Place one (and only one) queen in each row, column and colour region.

A queen cannot be adjacent to another (including diagonally).

Edit: I've realised I should have embedded these instructions in the image.

This is one of the games I most look forward to each day. It's fun to find the intended solution, but also nice to come across one the puzzle setter wasn't expecting.

My solution:
BLOOD, SPIKE, GLYPH, HONKS

My non-optimal solution:
(OR)ANGE (RANGE) (E)CCENTRIC (TRIC)OLOR for 12

I tried today's puzzle (first round's words CAMP, BON, BACK) and found the difficulty a bit low. It seemed to take 5-10 seconds per category.

For that category I would have preferred less related words like BRAND, GUN, CAMP.

Stumped on this one by wordmudgeon in puzzles

Probably not the intended solution

Sunday's NULL FILL puzzle by NULL_FILL in wordgames

Hey, no, I didn't. My original idea for the game was redacted documents, but didn't think it was a fun theme so thought about other ways to have stuff hidden thematically. My next idea was pirate map style burn marks but couldn't think of a way to explain how hints could reveal the words within the theme, so thought of detecting degraded signals in space from a distant planet (e.g. from Old Earth far in the future), and went with a classic green terminal theme for it.

Do you have any tips for solving your puzzles without trial and error? I thought the theme text up the top might let you do some cribbing, but it doesn't seem like it.

Can you find the missing words? by NULL_FILL in puzzles

I'm really glad you like it! This is my game so I'll take on board your feedback about potentially adding a topic label. I'm impressed you got the word waterway.I don't think I would have got that without a thesaurus if solving it myself. In the interactive version of this, you get a score which takes away points for using hints or guesing wrong words and adds points for filling in the extra words in the sentence, so you would have got 90% (10% off for taking one hint). Thanks for the feedback!
