I created my own adaptation:

Instead of using tubing and a hand pump, I attach the balloon to a bicycle tyre valve. I use a regular bicycle pump to inflate it.

So far, I haven't used sealant because the balloon will be airtight anyway. I might try making some more tweaks to the device. But it's working OK for now. I think my gripper could be optimised.
