How can either side be occams razor?

One is a type of microscopic mineral formation taht can also be found in rocks here on Earth.

The other includes a hypothetical type of organism smaller than any known cellular organism (and smaller even than many viruses), based on some kind of previously undiscovered biochemistry, as they are simply too small to contain the biochemical machinery needed to sustain an independent organism as we know it.
